I’m getting set to add fog lights and an under the hood LED strip to my XLT. Can anyone save me from having to play a contortionist by telling me what type of fuse I’ll find at #3 and #6, micro or mini. Is there somewhere where I can find the same information for all fuses and whether they are powered by the ignition or constant power?

Since you mentioned fuse 3 and 6, I typed up a response based on my experience wiring an amp but then realized that your fog lights should be wired into the engine bay fuse box, not all the way into the passenger footwell (body control module) box. 3 and 6 are 12V switched in the BCM fuse box but I'm pretty sure that's not the fuses you want in the engine bay.

I would look for discussions about fog lights and see what people are using. I know some fog light kits have their own fuse and attach directly to the battery.

Thanks for your reply. I previously asked the question on the forum whether one can tap into the the engine bay fuse box or directly to the hybrid‘s under the hood positive terminal used to jump the vehicle. There is some question that using the terminal will screw with the vehicles electrical sensors. No one has spoken up with personal experience giving me confidence in the answer.

I will be running the switched fog lights through a relay and separate inline blade fuse.

Based on my tests, those are different between just being removed started and fully started by push button start. I have a Lariat Eco

3 - has power if just remote started and have not turned on yet, and remains power when fully started
6 - does not have power until fully started, no power if just remote started

Edit 5/10/23:
The other day another member had asked about Accessory.
Since I didn’t know, I tested that.
6 gets power when in Accessory.
