I'm planning to order the Ford Advantage Hard trifold with the 20% off coupon and points I earn by buying the truck which is just a bakflip mx4 rebranded. I was considering the rough country one until I found out it messes with the sliding rails on lariat.

The factory one I have is great. It is a true tri-fold and very little water gets into the bed when it's closed (from comments I've read in this forum, it's a crapshoot on that--some installations are better than others).

I went with a RC flip up on my Lariat. Yes, the brackets get in the way of being able to slide the Ford rail hook all the way back and forth but I found someone on this site who makes some nice 3D printed bed rail hooks which can be added anywhere along the rail.

Personally, I like the Sentry CT hard rollup. OK, not a trifold, but I find it to be easier to use and functionally superior to the trifold. I can have it fully rolled up and still see out of more than half of my rear window. I can also roll it fully when my Elevate Racks are installed. Most trifolds get stuck at the front Elevate bars and can't be moved all the way forward. From most reports, It is as weather proof and secure as the trifolds if installed correctly. Maybe a trifold would be more durable (beyond say 10 years), but much of that probably depends whether you park in a garage or leave the truck outside most of the time. My truck lives in a garage whether at home or at work so I expect it to last for as long as I own the truck.

I drove to Toronto and paid CDN$575 installed for the Bison flip-up trifold hard cover that I'm very happy with. I can't figure out why the Ford trifold and all the "made in USA" ones (yeah, right - interesting how they look identical to the Chinese ones) cost typically 2x what I paid, and 3x when you add in the currency conversion rate. Americans are getting ripped off.

I got the factory installed hard trifold. A little extra security and 300 pound load capacity on the top of it. I have not tested the weight capacity yet, however, it’s nice knowing it is there. I know there are some that might argue that it is too expensive, but it is on and I don’t have to worry about it.

I love my A.R.E. tri-fold hard tonneau cover. It matches my Area 51 2022 Maverick Lariat and looks great(in my opinion). I have never had a leak of rain or snow, and we get hard hit here in Northeast Ohio! The guys who installed it are excellent. Cost more but well worth it.

Undercover armor Tonneau cover here . happy with it so far . true trifold . doesn't sit against cab . wanted for security . has 400 lbs weight limit on top of cover if needed . does block rear window when all sections up .
