Thanks! So much to consider. There is a company called Most Plus with good prices, and can even get through Walmart, but never heard of it. It didn't say free shipping like Rough Country. I am so overwhelmed with this. This noise issue, learning to back and park a truck, even a small one is a major challenge, but I'm determined. I just don't know how to post a new thread. I still have to respond to someone else's. You see why I am tech challenged with my new truck.
I had the MostPlus quad fold and was happy with it for the price. I replaced it because I needed something to support a Tslot mounted bed rack.

I'm new to this site, and not finding the right spots to send a message.
I would like recommendations for hard tonneau covers either tri fold or retractable.
I am very happy with my SyneticUSA Retractable Tonneau cover. It locks to the tailgate, and in the middle so you have options on how far you want it open or closed. so far seems about 99% waterproof under some significant rain. You can get it on their website cheaper than I found it on Amazon

I settled for the soft rollup - TruXedo Pro X15 when I got my Mav.
At the time it was based on cost, look (low profile), and usability. I did forgo security since someone can easily gash it open.

@dumbcomputers - that quad fold hard tonneau looks nice, I would considered that for as a replacement for sure.

Purchased a Ford branded Tri-Fold hard cover and am 100% pleased. Have had truck caps on my F-150 & F-350 and the hard Tri-Hold is the best. FYI - found the Ford branded with Ford part number on a Ford dealership website for $950 [not $1,200] but it had $200 shipping charge. Got my local Ford dealership to match the price and no shipping. I installed the hard cover myself in about 30 minutes.

It wasn't perfect though... My gripes were:

- You can't release the the straps with one hand. The straps that hold it all the way open so it doesn't close on it's own while driving. There is very limited room to reach the buckle and I don't really have big hands. Easiest way to release it is to push each side of the buckle with one finger on each hand.
- Because of the design of the tailgate rubber seal you can't lock the last panel until the tailgate is closed. So every time you open the tailgate you also have to release the last panel, close the tailgate, then lock the last panel. I thought about replacing the rubber seal for a different type to solve this but replaced the cover before I needed to.
- You can't drive with it partially open, either all the way open or closed.
- It gets really hot in the sun, opening it and closing it is pretty uncomfortable.
- If you're not paying attention it can pinch your hand opening/closing.

My retractable doesn't have any of these issues.

Nice summary, most of it applies with my soft as well but it doesnt get too hot.
Checked out your build link and the retractable is awesome with the racks! !

Love all the cameras you put in too!

I have been looking at a lanotech retractable cover for the 26 Maverick Hybrid Lariat on Amazon for $609. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with that particular brand. There were only 3 reviews (5 stars each). The price is right if it is any good. Would like to get one pronto, but need to do a little research first. The lanotech looks nice.

Did you find/get a new hard folding tonneau cover that supports Tslot for a rack? I'm looking at the RealTruck BAKFlip MX4 TS for the RealTruck Elevate Rack. Are there any others? Thanks ...
