well this is my story, was driving down a country road this morning in my 22 eco boost AWD maverick when suddenly it felt like I was in neutral . gave it gas but wasn't moving...... I looked down at the shift dial and showed still in drive. after coming to a complete stop with engine running I played with the shifter dial and was able to get going again. the transmission shifting erratically all over the place... luckily I was only 2 miles from my house. . truck only has 5400 miles on it and never towed anything..... anyone out there have a similar situation like this. good thing I wasn't on the freeway in the fast lane.... will call the ford dealer today, god only knows what they will tell me.

I kinda had something similar happened to my 22 Maverick. I’m running the Cobb access port so I was able to see what gear position I was in it would go third gear till like fifth gear, but almost seemed laggy. I was able to pull the code with the AP. It was P0716. I took the truck immediately to the dealership I bought it from which was closed where that issue was happening, luckily. Since I’ve definitely thrown the warranty out the window with all the modifications, I’ve done they charged me a $200 diagnostic fee turns out it was a $30 sensor that needed to be replaced but the labor was still $200 so I walked away paying 430 dollars to get the issue fixed. If you haven’t modified your vehicle, it might just be covered. I don’t have the paperwork with me at the moment, but I could tell you what sensor it was if it ends up being similar issue.

thanks for the info..... called the dealer ship where I bought it from... service guy told me to disconnect the battery wait 15 min .....said it will reboot the computer..... called another dealership and the service guy asked me if I had the latest software update... hast to go through your wi fi. I changed to a different wi fi connection about a month ago and I noticed it wasn't on my display screen, so I set that one up along with a new password which was accepted. I thought these software updates were done automatically. only mod I've done to the truck was a set of lowering springs...... took the truck out for a test run this morning and no real problem.... did notice hard downshift from 2nd to 1st gear..... just to have my truck looked at , they are 1 month out at 1 dealership other dealership is worse. neither one offers a loaner car..... crazy times were living in

Please take your truck in to the dealership and have them look at it.
