it's water under the bridge now, but it always bothers me when someone does a fluid flush and then shortly after that component has issues.

was it having symptoms before the fluid flush, or did you just do it as an early / preventative maintenance? (ford says the transmission fluid is due for replacement at 150k, which many people think is overly long / delayed.)
Gotta figure out when I can go back to get it since the dealership is 3 1/2 hours away from me

This is really interesting. I work in a Ford parts department. Ford doesn't list a reman trans for the Mav yet. I'm curious as to what they actually put in your truck.
And it's sounding like they are the ones that screwed it up after fixing the leak.

I dunno... unless it's a major leak, I think I'd rather have my transmission left alone considering they need to drop the entire thing just to replace the gasket. I'd have to see dripping fluid while it's running in excess. Especially if it wasn't under warranty anymore.

I remember watching Daniel Deliverz's videos on his blown transmission.

Wow Heck of a deal. What dealer is that?
I have a better deal than that. If you buy a new Ford from Don Hattan Ford in (actually, slightly outside of) Augusta, KS they give you a lifetime powertrain warranty. It is to the original purchaser only, new Ford only, and non-transferable with no deductible.

My current Maverick is exactly 2 years old and I have 42,500 miles on it.

Sunset Ford. Bommarito Ford who I purchased my F-150's from offer it's well.
Outstanding. Super fortunate for you to have these two dealers close by.
I am assuming it is a dealership style warranty and not Ford coverage accessible at any dealership.

Noticed the Ford rep is ghosting this thread/issue...
they can't do jack sheet about it.

when the OP first noticed issues after the flush was done, that would have been a very good time to have a 3rd party, whether a Ford dealership or not, inspect, diagnose and take pictures.

That's the proper way to build dealer loyalty.
I could be wrong, but I believe it's just available at those two dealers that offer it. But I have been wrong before.

This OP didn't have issues until it cratered. It was fine till it wasn't. No issues leading up to it self destructing. I stopped in Kerrville at Whataburger to get a bite to eat. I get back in the truck to leave. When I crank it, there is a huge metal grinding noise, then it wouldn't budge. That being said, first sign of issues, it was towed to Stoepel Ford in Kerrville. All previous maintenance was done at Jim Bass in San Angelo.

no worries all good. some are luckier than others. I actually bought my Maverick from Arrow Ford in Abilene and they have an "engine for life" program but you have to do all the maintenance through them and it was too far for me to take advantage of that
