They were totally useless, just messaged me twice asking for more info then pawned me off to local dealer.
Yep that's all they do- useless lip service.

Transmission on my Bronco Sport just had to be replaced, 16,500 miles. I’m assuming it’s the same transmission as the Maverick. I’m bummed, now I don’t really trust the vehicle. I was planning to get a Maverick, but now wondering if I should move away from Ford.

Update Day 4-5: was finally contacted by PCDA, Ford will reimburse us for flights home and Uber from airport to home, will ship truck to dealer in Texas nearest me once repaired and provide a rental or loaner while it’s in the shop once we get back home. I have to pay up front but am told I will be reimbursed. Glad they are doing all that but Still, it will at least a month, plus 5-6 days to ship. Assuming they can get a transmission from the warehouse right away. I’d rather have my truck and not have to worry about how long it’s going to last.
What a bummer! So, are they shipping your truck to Texas to get fixed there, or will they fix it in Florida and then ship it? I, personally, would prefer the former.

Fixing in Florida, spoke to service tech yesterday. He said warehouse only showed one in stock when they ordered, he thinks they got, it but the way their system works they won’t know for sure until tomorrow. If not no idea how long till they have more in.

several years ago, a relative had a major engine failure on her new Ford in California. Dealer said 5-6 weeks to get an engine and install it. The subject of "Lemon law" was brought up. A new engine was located and flown from the east coast to the dealer. She got her car back in 2 weeks. I don't know how Texas lemon laws are structured however.

I’ve got about 5700 miles on my 24 mav. Yesterday drove from Texas to my Dad’s in Florida. This morning got in the truck to head to beach and transmission was slipping bad. Revs up to 7000 rpm before shifting gears. It seamed to be okay after a few min of driving.

I went out again just now and it did it again. Video attached. I’ve notice it do this before in the morning but not near this bad. Chocked it up to me just not being used to this 8 speed transmission. But now I’m worrried. Taking in to local dealer if I can get in but worried my trucks going to end up stuck far from home needing a new transmission. Please tell me I’m wrong

Update Day2: Ford contacted me on Maverick truck club forum saying “Good morning! I would like to take a closer look at your transmission concerns on my end. To get things started, can you please send over a message with your VIN along with the name and location of your local Ford dealer?”

I sent my info right away along with my cell#, they responded hours later asking for my email and owner name (which is me), which I sent, 3 hours later they asked if I’d taken it to a ford dealer yet and what did dealer say… so far this route has been a dead end.

Meanwhile I spent yesterday and today calling the 3 ford dealers within 50 miles. The Closest one never called back after going through there automated call system and leaving messages. I was able to get through later in the day by calling another department and getting transferred. They said they would not be able to even diagnose it for at lease a week and a half.

The next closest answered the phone and tried to reach thier service dept. but could get through to them themselves. They left a message for me but no one ever called back and I never got through.

The 3rd dealer (about an hour drive away) scheduled an appointment for tomorrow morning. I used ford roadside assistance to get it towed there and they just picked it up after a 4 hour wait.

Update Day 3: Dealer service dept says it needs a new transmission. Warehouse shows some in stock but they have been on back order and those with previous orders will get priority. Even if he gets one it will take 5-7 days to get here then 3 weeks to get installed because he has 4 others in line ahead of me.he’s trying to get Ford to approve a long term rental.
In the same boat as you but with a hybrid, seems to be a common quality control failure going around. Luckily I caught the atf leak @ 2,000 miles before it went grenade mode.

3 week update: Truck still at the Florida dealership, still no reimbursement for flight home and Ford’s offer to reimburse for a rental hasn’t panned out. No one has a Ford available to rent and they will only reimburse if you rent a ford. Not one call from the dealership with an update, usually when I call I just get voicemail which has never been returned. Twice I got through to a human, first one couldn’t tell me anything. Second said they did get the transmission in but couldn’t say when it would be installed. That was last week. So still no eta for repair or getting it shipped back to me.

I keep checking my ford app hoping it will give a clue, but no changes there either. 21 Days since it broke down looks like I’m going to hit at least 30 before it’s back to me.

very sorry to hear that. if the dealership has social media pages or accounts I would maybe start pinging them for updates. or you could see if any media might be interested in your story. something to make the issue visible and get them moving.

Update 32 days, still no reimbursement from ford, no loaner or rental, I was told yesterday thry are almost done with repairs and it could be done by the end of the week. That didn’t happen. Said delays caused by other parts they had to order, after ordering transmission, ordered a transmission cooler line, and then a subframe bolt.

Ford corporate guy also said I’d get an extended warrantee once truck is back to me. We’ll see if that all pans out. He also confirmed I am getting a brand new transmission, not rebuilt.

Nothing has changed on my Ford pass app.
