Okay, for those who are with me on wanting decent tow mirrors, here is what I just sent from the K SOURCE site...jump in and send off your request if you like.

I added my verbiage to assist your request, just in case it helps.

This just in. Just have to wait and see!

And now they are aware of the MTC and its legion of followers.

Any other replies to post?

It could keep the thread more visible on this site, more email requests, more posts of replies...

Good find! An excellent alternative and far better than nothing for sure.

Myself, I would stick with the old school mirror if at all possible...but I can change, if I have to...

I already have muscle/mind memory for scanning truck guages looking for trouble indications (okay, also our super fuel mileage, how I am doing and DTE!), side mirror drivers side, rearview mirror, then passenger mirror, interspersed with looking forward, then way in the distance forward. Repeat in different sequence to keep the mind fresh.

And look around to see the beautiful world we live in.

I like the side mirrors as well for all trailers as with it I can check my trailer tires both on the highway at speed as I know the deflection on my sidewalls and glance look for any change...this is very important when towing a trailer with 2 sets of tires per side!

And the way I like to have mine set up is also helpful to ensure my right hand turns are wide enough to not kerb-swipe or kerb-bounce with the trailer tires...they are part of my all-around situational awareness tools.

All the mirrors are used and have a job to do is what I am saying, "for myself and myself only".

A shameless plug for my towing thread follows...

Sorry about drifting off into general towing info, I will try to save that for my thread on "So You Want to tow a trailer, eh?". Might need to add a post from this to it.

Andy
For trailers up to 7 feet wide I find the stock mirrors adequate.

I can see down the sides for changing lanes and I can see my trailer tires to look at obvious pressure loss, and to avoid curbs.

More than 7 feet and you will need extensions.

I submitted my inquiry today and received a response.

"Yes we are currently planning to develop a Snap & Zap for the 2024 Ford maverick, the part number will be 81610, but it still about a year away from being released. Keep an eye out for it summer 2026"

In the meantime, on 2025 Lariats (and maybe others?) you can hit the camera button at any speed, then press the (+) icon at the top left of the screen to switch to different views.

One of the available choices is a "split view" looking backwards down each side of the truck. I guess there's a rear-facing camera in the very tip of the rearview mirrors ... it isn't the same as towing mirrors, but it helps

Well, better late than never, but by the time they're available, they'll need to be working on the Gen 2 mirrors.

I might be getting an 8 foot wide travel trailer this week and would love some good options... Might just need to go the video camera option.

I have been trying to find some tow mirrors that would work for my 2025 Maverick and all I can find are the ones that strap on. I spoke with Suma performance this morning and they said if at least 10 people would request those mirrors they would start production of them. So, if anyone is interested in some better tow mirrors, please let Suma Performance know.
There used to be towing mirrors that clamped on the fender in the hood seam with a hook under the wheel well. They tightened down with a turnbuckle to grip the fender. These were from the 1970's.
