Howdy all, just writing wondering if anyone out there has been graced a decent fingernail sized ding where on my passenger side front fender. My paint is the new (to the maverick) azure gray tri-coat metallic. I’m sure Ford makes a touch up paint/pen with in that color, and wondering if anyone might know where to point me to purchase it?

Ford parts department. At least they use to carry or sell paint in a small dapper with the top having a brush inside the touch up paint bottle. Similar to white out used to correct printing, writing errors. Just like a everything else they may have to order it. A quick phone call to your dealership parts department with the color code should be the first step. Hope this helps. I would appreciate posting whether they still offer touch up paint, through their parts department or not.

Ford does stock touch up paint pens from their parts department.
https://parts.ford.com/

Fill out the info and select your dealer. Mine had it in stock already, and if they don’t, you can order it. You can also get this at certain paint stores using the paint code on the inside of your door.

I just ordered, and have enroute, Cyber Orange from Ready Car Paints.

Ready Car Paints

Seemed as though everyone else was way more expensive than I recall from buying touch up paints in the past and Ford says it's backordered.

Nice little kit I'm thinking.

There have been many good answers on here so far. Your new color might be the only obstacle, BUT NOT FOR LONG. Looking on Amazon, there are touch up paint offers ad nauseum. When I bought my touch up kit, I could only find one vendor who had iconic silver, TouchUpDirect, on Amazon. They can get pricey, as they offer scratch touch up kits in 3 levels (essential, preferred, platinum), in both aerosol and brush. The upper level kits include primer, color coat, and clear coat bottles. Prices run from about $30 to.... oh, $3,000. Extra things include oil remover, gloves, 2 grades of sandpaper, etc. I think the Premium kit will also do your taxes. I am ambivalent about my kit: I have it, but I hope I never have to use it. In hindsight, I should have just waited for Ford parts department to have iconic silver, probably for $20. Good luck.

I don't really get why people just won't buy the actual touch-up paint from Ford. It's the same color from the manufacturer who made the car. Now that said, DO NOT use the ball point applicator or the brush. It's too big. Go onto Amazon and buy this. It's a godsend for filling scratches that go to the primer and stone chips.

Just add a few drops to the collection cup and once it flows you just tap the area you need covered. The brush that comes with touchup paint, way too big and it makes a mess out of everything.

Get dingless fix first if it's dented in. Then Ford touchup. Don't use the paint stick if you haven't fixed the dent first.

Ford touch-up paint in the pen in Cactus Gray is a horrid match. YMMV

I guess it is. Because all the paints I've used while working at the dealership for 23 years have been pretty spot on.

The HPR Ford/Duplicolor pen definitely isn't; way too orange. I suspect they just took the basecoat paint color mix information and didn't account for the red tintcoat, and the touchup only comes with pure clear topcoat.
