The Motorola MA1 is a different adapter than the AAWireless adapter.
MA1 doesn't have a developer mode.

That I know of, you can't get 3rd party apps to work with Android Auto on Android 14 unless the phone is rooted or you use developer mode on the AAWireless adapter.

I won't be rooting, or buying a different adapter. I guess I'll have to deal with it being in my phone screen for now.
Hopefully there will be a way soon enough with Android 14. I have never rooted a phone before.

Im using Carista (wireless ELM327 adaptor) with a wireless CarPlay adaptor and OBD FUSION on IPHONE. Here's a picture. It would look better if OBD Fusion had and update and added some gauges!

No problem

Let me know if you guys find a way to display what gear you're in.
Did you ever find a PID for this? Torque has one as part of the Ford PIDs labeled as "2211B3" with an equation of "A/2" associated to it. That one doesn't seem to work.

Nope Still no gear indicator that I'm aware of.

I can't get EV Battery voltage to display and my SOC charge is always between 40-60%.

Does anyone have a list of the proper abbreviations to use when you need to set up the "UNITS" in AA-Torque? "m" cannot be both miles and meters.

Probably either an update to Google Play Services or Android Auto.
I just got a new Pixel 9 ProXL and can no longer root my phone, as it's OEM locked.

Fortunately I already use an AAwireless adapter which has a developer mode. It allows third-party apps to still work like this one and Fermata Auto.

I believe this now.

Issues -
Android Auto 14 and Cannot cast to head unit.
Audio Module on truck consistently grays out getting APPS transferred if USB is connected despite USB and BT are enabled.
Torque Pro does NOT register AA Torque Plugin as a plugin within. Just defaults.
Within AA on the phone I found "Developer Settings" and enabled "Unknown Sources". This did not help.
At some point, I found something about Cast to Head Unit. I dont remember where. Checking this also did not help.
I am not especially interested in Wireless mode, but I note the one specifically referenced in this thread as supporting developer mode was Out of Stock or else not immediately available for order.

Torque Pro Works fine with BT Adapter
AA Torque plugin works OK but laggy but only to its phone screen and I am not quite ready to put the phone i horizontal mode for this.
Custom PIDS from this thread work well.

I love Torque on my Transit (not Connect). I have an aftermarket Android radio and it displays and operates via app installed on the radio itself, and a bluetooth OBD adapter.
I want something similar on my Maverick, but it has a stock radio and it appears I can't just load apps on it (as expected, factory system wants you to BUY stuff from FoMoCo). It looks like screenshare is my only option.
I have a drawer full of old iProducts and an Android phone, so I think I'll use one of those as a "source" without a service plan. It will house my music collection and a few apps like Torque to use on the Maverick radio via wireless dongle in the USB port.
Alternate: I may use one of the phones as a display for Torque Pro and not share the screen to the radio at all.

I started with my previous phone. Android 8 did not work. It sort of looks like AA was not integrated with Android 8 so AA was perhaps not installed and no longer available for install from the store.
The sweet spot seems to be AA 13. Where it starts working between 8 and 13, I do not know.
