I ordered tri fold hard as well, I'm thinking it's better for the snow we get in NY
A hard cover s very likely better, unless you get really heavy snow then you want sloped sides to encourage the snow to not build up, like a sloped roof vs a flat one.

mind you I live in the south to not have to deal with snow.

A big dump on a 4.5'x4.5' bed is several hundred pounds of snow.

I thought about ordering one but I do a lot of camping and figure I need a canopy that would add more room than a cover - also I want to add roof racks and if I get a canopy I can just add them to that.

Yes, hard top tri-fold. I have a garage at home, but travel to some rough areas surrounding Baltimore.

I'll be waiting for one of these for the Maverick. Didn't want the spray-in and didn't want to cover up the Alto Blue. I don't plan on using the Maverick for 'Work' anyway.

Unless I missed it, or it was added as an option after I placed my order, but there is now an option for a bed mat at the Builder at the Ford site. There is no pic of it out there but I wonder if it has the Maverick logo?

I went in with the intent of ordering either the hard trifold or hard roll-up, but the dealer advised not ordering any factory installed accessories due to the potential to delay the build. I will eventually explore dealer installed or aftermarket options.

The sleek, “no profile” design makes this a favorite. This folding bed/tonneau cover mounts flush with the side of the truck bed.

  • Provides 100% access to stake pockets and works with tie-downs, bed rails, bed extenders and bedliners
  • Made from rigid, heavy-duty ¾” thick panels strong enough to hold up to 300 lbs. (evenly distributed)
  • Rugged synthetic hinges and seals provide outstanding weather resistance
  • Lock the cover in full open position with the included prop rods for access to the whole bed without removing the cover
  • Hidden, quick-release latch system automatically locks panels when shut, simply lock the tailgate to secure the bed
I had a Tuxedo brand just like that on the truck I traded and loved it. The low profile is the way to go.

Anyone that has had a hard roll up style cover in the north does it have any issues rolling in very cold weather? I'm seeing mixed reviews from people on them and wondering if I should swap to trifold.

Hadn't heard of this issue, but to be honest hadn't even thought to look into it. Now I'm curious as well. I've been thinking of changing to a soft roll-up anyway just because I can see eventually going with a cap.

I ordered a hard roll-up for mine. I had thought about removing it and getting it aftermarket until I saw the visible blue oval on the underside of hard roll-up cover. It looks too freaking sweet to pass-up.
