With my birthday coming up, my wife was looking into getting me a few accessories for my truck. The main thing she was looking at was a tonneau cover. My question for all of you fine maverick owners is, who has a cover on their truck, and which one did you go with? We have been looking at a few different styles, but I keep coming back to the hard tri fold. I have been looking on the website for a company called real truck and found that they have some nice options and price points for the style I'm looking for. Any insight you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Good old fashioned Truxedo Truxport Soft Roll from Ford with my points and a discount.

I use the Maverick bed a lot and I didn't want a hard roll, low profile, or tri-fold stealing space in the already small bed.

The soft roll moves entirely out of the way and if I want to can be completely removed in about 10 minutes.

Get the one you really need the 1st time. Shop around, there are so many options, and probably 25 or more Threads on the exact Topic.

Lomax Stance, https://www.agricover.com/lomax-stance-hard-cover/ . What sold me was a seller reporting they have the fewest warranty issues by far with the Lomax brand, an owner reporting $10K hail damage to his truck, but just one little ding on his Lomax hard cover, and multiple examples of owners reporting how well the Lomax held up after years of use. It can be bought for ~$1K from some sellers. If you don't need to fully fold it up out of the bed, the Lomax Tri-Fold is ~$900, again from some sellers. Also, Lomax is really made in the USA. Good luck with whatever you buy!

I installed the Oedro unit from eBay. Had a coupon and was offered a discount so I picked it up for just a hair under $300.

Here is the link on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Tri-fold-Tonneau-Covers-Compatible-Maverick/dp/B0CT31FVCQ?th=1

It is a decent cover for sure. There is so much info on the forum you tend to get paralyzed by the choices. Do I spend $1200 on this on or will the $300 one work for me? You never know until you get it.

I was in the same space but chose the Oedro based on another members comprehensive review.

I will say that is is pretty great. It is pretty much waterproof. I put in some weatherstripping on the top of the bed where there is that channel and no leaks. We have gotten some heavy rain in the last month (I live in the Pacific NW) and it is wet a lot. So far so good as far as dry.

Having said that, the Leer quad fold that is/was on sale for 1/2 off would have been my choice.

I have the Flowkottu Retractable and really like it. It is a little heavy, though, so I had the dealership install it before I took delivery. Ended up working out great, and the guys at the dealership were surprised I got a good retractable tonneau for $750 when the OEM one is like $3k.

I know you're thinking of a tri-fold, though, so it may not be exactly what you are looking for.

I went with a LOMAX® Folding Hard Cover ( https://www.agricover.com/hard-tonneau-covers ) because it is solid and once folded it can be removed so and to not limit the area in the bed or block the rear window when it is fully folded.

How does it hold up during car washes (or is it standard to take it off before going in the wash?) Admittedly I've done zero research but was curious about a Maverick owner's experience.

I have this cover on my Ranger and it has been my greatest regret. After five years of moderate usage, it leaks like a sieve. The rubber membrane cracked between every metal slat.

I have a Synectic retractable cover which I like a lot. Easy to install, works great and was not overly expensive. It has tracks and I got cross bars as well. Nice set up, got it all on Amazon.

I have a BAK X4TS and zero regrets. I can walk on the thing if needed and it is seamlessly flush so it pleases me aesthetically to boot

I also went with the Flowkottu retractable cover. Installed it myself and so far I've been very pleased with it. Car wash gives it a few dribbles but not bad. Very solid and retracts smoothly.
