All cause I pulled up in front of a little old lady broke down in the middle lane of I-45 and towed her Cherokee off the highway into the Bucees parking lot.

AND SHE CALLED IT BABY BLUE!
AND SHE CALLED IT A HATCHBACK!

It’s hard enough holding onto my man card driving a mini truck without an officer belittling it.

While I'm sure your intentions were good, you probably should have just moved her over to the shoulder and let the police assist from there. How far was the strap-tow from the center lane to the Buc-Ee's parking lot?

That's interesting. I worked in 911, but worked closely with 2 City PDs, sheriff's office and state police and never knew that unsafe towing device was an actual thing. Wonder how much the cost is?

Reading the citation I do see the comments about the color of your hatchback. OK that is funny and definitely feminizing your manly truck. Gawd that is funny.

As far as unsafe towing device, I do think it is technically illegal to use a tow strap to tow any vehicle Even though many people do it.

Citations like these just show how the deployment of common sense by law enforcement isn't for all of them. This is a citation I would never write, especially if someone is helping another off the busy hwy to a safer location.

Hatchback? That should get you out of the ticket all by itself. . . "that's not my vehicle".

I found out that in "YOUR STATE OF VIRGINIA" all you need to get a ticket is a out of state license plate!

An inaccurately filled out ticket can often be invalidated also.
You might argue that if the ticket was written for a baby blue hatchback, then by definition, it couldn't have been your truck.
