You could stack discounts on the employee pricing like Farm Bureau but that would have been valid at any dealership. There are a lot of holes in this story.
Ok, Well you are wrong. It is stated on the cash rebates that you CANNOT stack them... So go read it for yourself and fill in some holes...

Hm. I am not seeing any new 25s at or below the pricing that ran for Employee Pricing. I AM seeing new/used 24s have dropped some compared to when I was shopping, though.
Ok, so go WATCH some of the latest vids on Long McArther, or better yet message Tim and ask him if he is selling any Mavericks 2025 below employee pricing. This isn't that that hard to fact check.

I went to their site and pricing is good but I'm not seeing XLTs beating the standard employee discount I got. I don't have a horse in this race, just what I'm seeing at first blush. It's fine.

Looks like the Maverick is excluded now in the sales campaign, and yes I agree those prices are much higher now.

I don't see any holes in the story.

The A plan pricing still applies if someone ordered before the promotion ended. The OP appears to be in that category.

His dealership stated their pricing went up. This could be true. The price is not locked in, what is locked in is A Plan rate. So if the A Plan price went up, then the price of the vehicle went up correspondingly.

Any price increase would be reflected on the window sticker and could easily be compared to the full msrp on the DORA the OP should have signed and gotten a copy of when he placed the order... BUT... he has no way to see the accurate A Plan price himself, at the date of purchase, unless the dealership shows it to him.

We both had the signed order with all the details. And they did eventually "find it" and that is when they decided after some game playing to see who was going to blink first to honor the deal we made. I am glad it worked out, but the entire thing was sleezy.

if you kept your window sticker (I always do), look at the msrp printed on it vs what's on your signed order. if it's the same they were scamming you.

With my 2024 Maverick, I did all my negotiating via email only with the "online sales" guy. Refused to even text. This takes away all their power, and games with trips to the sales manager while you're left waiting like a fool!
He honored the price we had negotiated and the finance guy didn't spend more than 5 minutes trying to get me to buy the extended warranty. This is the only way I'll ever purchase a car again.

I will look to see if they put it in the truck. It isn't in the packet of stuff they handed me.

The reason to buy it sooner rather than later is the price goes up. If you go out and input a 22 into Granger with your specifics and price a plan, and then put in a 25 with the specifics and you will see the cost is higher. So buying it earlier appears to lock in a lower price. You are correct the warranty period overlaps so it really is just an extension, but rather misleading. Prices on repairs, parts, and labor are only going up. It would only really take one significant repair to have covered the cost of the warranty and then some. It is a gamble either way. Also a note that the high voltage battery is not covered by the extended warranty. That battery and related systems is 8yr 100k miles by law, but not eligible as I understand it under an extended warranty. So that narrows the list of covered items quite a bit.

I am going to drive the truck for this month while I wait for my title and paperwork to show up for registration and see if I can get a feel for how I think this is going to hold up and if I think I will be keeping this truck long term. Once I know how much the damage is for the taxes and registration I will make the decision about buying the warranty. At the moment I am still leaning in that direction of getting the warranty as I think the Maverick is likely going to be a keeper. I actually went into this will a short term plan with the Maverick and then trade to the new midsize EV truck Ford has coming in a couple more years. I didn't expect to like the Maverick so much right out of the gate. So my plan may be changing. It is a TBD.
I would get the ESP from Granger, (that's what I did) for 10 years, it's the electronics to worry about not the battery. I paid $1175 back in 2022 when my truck was deliveres 3/7/22, so I added 7 years to my plan. Also the plan is transferable, so when you sell it after 7 years, the next owner buys a truck with a 3 year warranty! If you trade it in, you can get a refund for the remaining years. Also get the light coverage (I paid $37) if one of my headlights goes out, it cost $1300 to replace it on a Lariat.

Agreed doing the whole thing online is the way to go. This deal went that way with everything done on the phone, email, text. I expected to just walk in, sign the paperwork, pay them, and leave. That is where we hit some potholes was at delivery.

Yeah, that is the rock that is in my shoe. I don't normally buy any extended warranties after watching so many people get burned by them. I have just enough questions about some of the stuff going on with the Maverick to make me think it may be worth it. I will see how much the tax man at DMV wants and then decide if I want to spend the extra at Granger. At the moment I am leaning in that direction. It seems like the Maverick fits the bill for most of the things I need a small truck for and it will likely be a keeper.

They should have scanned it and put it on the thumb drive of documents. At least that's what my dealership did.
No thumb drive or anything that I can see in the stuff they gave me. I will have to go look in the truck this afternoon to see if they put it in there.
