Sorry for all that are having issues waiting for or trying to purchase a maverick, But i also have issues my maverick was built on feb 22 ,today is march 14 my built truck is still waiting to shlp, I called Ford and they told me it,s just sitting on the dock waiting to ship. So even if they build your maverick you might add a month or two on waiting time. Ford that,s money just sitting on the dock

Ford has no control over the shipping. Trucking and multiple rail lines usually. It's on them.

That sounds more like a chip hold to me not that Ford has been transparent with telling customers the reason their vehicle is sitting at the plant

One post earlier, you said "You don't know me" and now you're making assumptions about "retired" people being too old to drive anymore?

Just get the truck you want, and enjoy driving it. That's what I did - but I'm not over on the RAM forum, putting down people who wanted a full-size RAM truck because a Maverick suited MY needs...

I would buy one ,but not with a 5k markup when i put a deposit down in good faith for an order i placed on the first hour of the window.
When you ordered really means nothing in terms of which truck gets selected to build. Plenty of 23 hybrids been built, and lots of 22 roll overs still not built.

Mine was built and finished 1/12/23...didn't ship until 2/9/23. Took 2 weeks to get to Denver on 2/23/23 where it sat until they transported it up to my dealer on 3/8. Seems they are in no hurry. 55 days.

I don't understand how someone could make such a large purchase and not even understand what they actually purchased. What's an LTD? 🙃 This reminds me of the person who insisted that they purchased an abandoned order that was special ordered with AWD on a hybrid and justified the markup they paid only to find out that they purchased a regular FWD hybrid.

I really do not understand your remarks. I'm 80 years old and pretty much do want I want to do. The LTD model was from the 1970's. I get mixed up on all these different coded vehicles. It's an XLT(?) and the Michand tires I put on are XTL so that might explain my mix up. Not sure if your comments are petty or not and I'll give you a break if in fact you are/were an Army Engineer. My son was a Sapper-retired E8.

As long as Ford gives them your vehicle to deliver and they sell it to you at MSRP, they've looked after you.

You cannot expect someone to forgo $5000 in pure profits to put you in front of the line.
I get it. Free Enterprise. The other side of the coin is taking care of a loyal customer and building a relationship for future business. OP is buying a truck, not a sandwich. Charging above MSRP is discouraged by Ford and amounts to, in this case, a greedy dealer who thinks it is more important to make an extra $5K than to take care of a loyal customer. I would tell that short-sighted dealer to take his on-the-lot Maverick w/$5K markup and shove it up his ass. Once the OP's Maverick is delivered, if I were the OP I would immediately go to another Ford dealer for all service and future Ford purchases.

It is greed on the part of the dealers. However, they can't be greedy if foks don't buy over msrp? In my opinion, most dealers are swine! Not too mention crazy doc fees.

OP ordered a truck It has not come in yet. The dealer has no responsibility other than sell him his truck when it arrives. The dealer will get what he can for the trucks on his lot and that's OK. No harm, no foul. Entitled cry-babies not withstanding.

If expecting a fair deal at MSRP from a dealer and expecting them to play by Ford's rules makes me an entitled cry baby then oh well.

I'm not buying mine to flip it, I'm getting it to drive it for 6+ years and I want a Maverick Hybrid which combines utility and superlative mpg.

I hate to admit it but you are right about that...human nature is what it is. I wouldn't sell mine for a few thousand dollar profit once I get it because then I would still have to replace it by waiting a year for another Maverick or buying a Toyota, Ford Escape or Honda hybrid. I don't want an SUV or a sedan. I will stop complaining now and just wait patiently for my Maverick as I think it is going to be a while.
