About a month agowhen I went to a few Ford dealers to check out a Maverick, one of them said, "Oh, you mean a Unicorn?" He went on to say they call them that because no one at the dealership ever sees them.
I just got back from a 2000 mile roadtrip, mostly Route 66, Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest/Painted Desert, Canyon de Chelly. I love the area. I did not see a single Maverick on the road. Not one.
One observation I made was the bigger the truck the faster they were going. The big F250 Superduty monster trucks were always going 80-85 mph. I was thinking it was a cdertain mind set- the guy that has to have the biggest truck on the block, also has to be going faster than everyone else on the interstate. That, or anyone who can afford a Platinum F250 probably doesn't worry about mpg...or speeding tickets ( I did see a couple big trucks pulled over by AHP). I kept wondering what kind of mpg they get at that speed.
What's the mpg of the Maverick at 75-80 mph? I'm positive it's on a thread but thought I'd just throw it out there.
