...and It's "Boyce", not "Royce"... now that's a truck - even looks a little bit like a big Mav......well, yes First Sergeant, thank you for your service.
I grew up on a farm, and my first "backing up" experience was at about 10 years old and backing a hay wagon into the barn. Note that those old hay wagons were built with front axles salvaged from vehicles, so had tongues that provided steering for the front wheels.
The more challenging task was backing up a tractor with a hay bailer and a hay wagon behind that.
All this is easy if you have great visibility (sitting in a 1950's H tractor seat), but I'd bet you couldn't do it in your deuce-and-half quite as well as I could at 10yo in my H tractor seat.
As a complete aside, I've been lusting after a bobbed deuce for years produced. by Royce Equipment. I just haven't been able to justify a use case.

Might be a stupid question, but is it water proof or at least water resistant? That seems like a perfect solution though. That is my only complaint with the tri-fold tonneau flipped all the way since it blocks the back window and is too tall for a camera mounted on the 3rd brake light.I use a cheap $23 wifi dashcam powered by USB in my bed. Also works great as a doggie cam. I have it on a magnetic mount.

It's only $23..so no it's not waterproof. But you can easily use a GoPro to achieve the same result at a higher price.Might be a stupid question, but is it water proof or at least water resistant? No… why would you want to? It’s obviously down for a reason, lumber bikes, etc..Could the dealer program the tailgate to close when you shift to reverse?
I had a modern tractor for a few years in the ealy 2000's. Ford 8N. Haha. The "armstrong" power steering system made your arms hurt for days. Guy I bought it from had plumbed a hydraulic pump to the front of engine and installed a large bucket. Made the mistake once of getting almost a full scoop of dirt, tried to pick it up. Bucket stayed on ground as I rode up in the air. A half bucket was ok to lift, but you had to start a turn a half block ahead of time! Saw one of those "bobbed 2 1/2 tons once in McCall Idaho. Talked to the fella, very nice job and an interesting build....well, yes First Sergeant, thank you for your service.

Uhm . . . a bit late to tell you, but thatI thought it was SMOKE and mirrors
the liability risk from jamming from dust or whatever would stop it from reaching market.seems like it wouldn't be that much of a technical feat to make the camera sort of 'byoyant' to keep it at around 90 degrees regardless of what angle the tailgate it in.
I'm pretty sure that the maverick doesn't have a power tailgate option. Not because I remember, but because I'm sure I couldn't have passed up anything that shiny when I ordered!Could the dealer program the tailgate to close when you shift to reverse?
