I mean think about it. Ford is killing with exciting models that people actually want with the Lightning, Bronco and Maverick. However they can’t produce the products.

My guess is by the time they get their $hit together the competition will catch up and their current “hot products” will be yesterdays news.

Such a shame.

Sorry just a rant from someone that is getting their Maverick bumped to 2023😤😀

The auto gods hate all automakers right now. Someone posted a story from a financial site recently that showed that among automakers, Ford was actually better off than their competitors. If you can imagine it, imagine companies like GM and Honda among others producing even less total vehicles.

Yea but they don’t have as many exciting products as Ford

Don't even have to imagine.
Months after General Motors started delivering its first Hummer EVs, the company is reportedly only producing around 12 of the massive electric trucks a day, according to The Wall Street Journal. That’s an abysmally slow pace, even compared to how many electric trucks other automakers are making: the Journal says Ford’s producing around 150 F-150 Lightings a day, ...

Recently, GM announced that it was raising the Hummer EV’s price by $6,250, citing “higher prices for parts, technology and logistics,” according to CNBC.

Around 77,500 people have signed up for GM’s Hummer EV waitlist, according to Chad Lyons, a GM spokesperson. If the company kept on producing 12 of the trucks a day — a figure Lyons declined to confirm — it’d take around 17 and a half years to get through everyone on the waitlist....

Honda doesn't really have a bunch of pissed off customers, either, since they don't allow you to order cars they can't produce.

So it's hard to say which is worse. I like the Maverick and have been willing to wait a year on it, but "exciting" is not how I would describe it. It's not any more exciting than a base Civic. It's more usable.

If you think the maverick, bronco, and f150 are exciting I feel sorry for you.
I guess that you feel sorry for me as well, since I was pretty damn excited when Ford announced the return of the small pickup. When I heard it was the first hybrid pickup, I got even more excited!

So, please, send me a sympathy card, because I am totally pumped to be driving my exciting little truck. You might want to print thousands, though, since I expect that I’m not the only one that you feel sorry for.

😆😜🙃😉

Oh, I almost forgot. While I don’t want an F150 Lightening, I think it’s pretty exciting as well. So much sorrow!

I'm onboard with your opinion, 100%. I find every time I purchase a vehicle new or used it is exciting for me. Maybe because I do not do it as often as other folks or maybe I am just easily excitable, I dunno. One thing for sure, I have waited a long time some somebody to make a pickup truck that checks most of the boxes for me. Ford has done that with the Maverick. The rest are not even close.

The other thing Ford has done with the Maverick for me is make me get over my resistance for anything electric and take a good hard look at what a hybrid is and what it actually does. When I did that I was totally impressed at the technology and what Ford is doing in the Maverick. Of course being the cheapest Hybrid helped in my decision making immensely.

Ok “people are excited about” I only ordered the Maverick because I wanted a cheap commuter with a bed that got great gas mileage.

I guess my point is there is a lot of interest in several of their products ( simultaneously) that I have never seen from them

Why should I *not* be excited about finally being able to have a new truck with a manufacturer warranty, for the first time in my life?

😂 so sensitive

You can be excited about getting one but the Maverick is NOT an exciting vehicle.
