I imagine the vast majority of homeowners are purchasing battery powered leaf blowers and the 2 strokes are for landscapers
I would say that is true in my area, however at least 75% of my neighbors use a lawn service for our postage stamp sized yards. That 2 stroke leaf blower going at 7am is not how I like to start my day! It runs $75 to $120 a month to have a 2-3 man crew mow and blow to do something that takes me 20 minutes tops-front and back, trim and blow/pick up and is not worth the $$$. I think it is just a California thing. Who knows, maybe the mow and blow service is a thing nationwide now...I have lived in CA since 1998.

When I lived in the South-GA, NC, FLA back then pretty much everyone mowed their own yards and the yards were much bigger yards than we have here. I only remember seeing landscapers on commercial properties.

Once my 28 year old John Deere self propelled 5hp lawnmower finally dies I will get an electric. Already have the rechargeable blower and weed wacker.

I get it and that would be annoying but I imagine for a landscaper he's going from house to house Gas is still more convenient than waiting for the battery to recharge
