Stolen Catalytic converters

Couple trucks, not mavericks had their CATS stolen this past weekend. Guy had a tundra they say off the cats (2)
probably in about 10 minutes per truck due to the liberal space under the tundra.

Wondering if there is an undercovering/shield that is below the CATS to discourage someone from
going under the maverick to cut out the mavericks. I know there is a shield that has to be removed
to change oil, but didn't know if it extends to the CAT area.

Are there 2 CATS under the maverick

I believe they are prohibitively hard to reach.

Ten minutes? Try 30 seconds each, at least the ones who are good at it.

If you want to protect them there are a few solutions, depends on what is available in your community. Some companies wrap them in thick metal cables with barbs on them that wear out grinder wheels/reciprocating saw blades quickly. Others install plates on the frame.

thank you. if there is the shield below the CATS then i am convinced that there are too many
other CATS out there that would make it easy to remove vs maverick.

Are there 2 cats in the hybrid?
