Not to start a panic or anything but with the escalation of catalytic converter thefts and their relative ease of access on the Maverick, should we be worried? I have read that Hybrids are specifically sought out by thieves, due to their higher concentration of rare elements. Can someone identify where on the vehicle the catalyst converters are? Can we do anything to make this less of an issue? Living in an urban area, I fear this is gong to be an issue, since the Maverick is higher off the ground, than any other hybrid, making it easier to steal.

Looks like we have some one who is writing with out checking information. If you have a source that supports this please reference it. Post like this are just to start a panic and get reactions and clicks.

I got my cat stolen off my Maverick while in route to the dealer. Once it got to the dealer I had to wait two months to get a new one. So, with the extra two month wait, it took 14 months to get my Maverick delivered.

Man, that really stinks! Fortunately, you didn’t have to go through your private insurance. I sure would like to see someone develop a bolt-on. option that shields/deters this issue.

i live the SF Bay Area and this seems to be the number one crime right now. not sure why folks think it's not a thing to worry about in other places. my neighbors have had theirs stolen 3 times.

Yessssss! There's lot's of creative weapons being used by Ukraine in their war. Maybe a couple of those could be added to this platform too? 😁

No. I don't think I've ever even met anyone who's had a catalytic converter stolen.
I've towed 3 of the same vehicle on the same day. 2 to 1 shop, and 1 to another. Cat thefts are still VERY common.
