I think so. From Build & Price site (2.0 EB shown but same location for hybrid):

Could be but I suspect it's the second cat converter located on current 2.0 EB's, the first being as you say nearby the exhaust manifold.
In the 2021 Escape SEL 2.0 EB exhaust system, both #1 and #7 are called cat converters.
