Stock Tires - What to do with them?

Howdy All,

Planning to upgrade the tires on Maverick XL or XLT as soon as I get one. To something beefier.

What should i do with the brand new stock tires? That have not been used at all.

Do any places buy new tires or slightly used tires?

What are the options? Please advise.

If you're getting AWD and have a spot to stash them, they could come in handy someday

You can start by pricing and posting them here, then as other have suggested use other social media sites or place signs on utility pole local

Tires don't age well. There is a 4 dig. code on each in a circle. 5224 would be made in the 52nd week of 2024. Post your date code and people will know they are close to new.

My best advice, keep them ,for if you invest 2 to 3 thousand dollars on new wheels and tires, and unfortunately ,not due to our fault, if someone hits it and insurance totals it, we're out the Investment, for the car has to have wheels and tires on it when it is totaled and going to be crushed. I know this by my neighbor's experience. He had( we had) to spend one day finding rims and buy may pop tires to switch out his new rims and tires for the used ones. What a p.i.t.a.. Save yourself the Hassel.
I kept my old originals just in case, which means it will hopefully never happen to me ,

I've had a few vehicles totaled, at no fault to me... too many distracted drivers. Anyway I totally agree with you and I kept mine for the same reason. Yesterday, I decided to change out my spare motorcycle tire with one of my takeoffs. I'll still keep the spare and I'll play musical tires if necessary. Knock on wood, that will never be necessary!
