I just went to install this on my hybrid and I am having trouble. I know I am supposed to use the spacers but even with that, I am not able to clear the module thing on the drivers side. I'll attach a picture. What am I missing?

Sorry guys, I'm an idiot. I didn't realize I have to move that black connector and then zip tie it. Any recommendations on what I should zip tie it to?

JKD, would really like to know your opinion on the difference the strut brace makes to the truck's handling. Much appreciated in advance.

I would love to but this morning I went to start the truck and it was dead. It finally came on and I got all of the warnings. I did a couple of the recalls a few months ago so I think I fell victim to the issues some other people are having after getting the recalls. It's at ford now so as soon as it's back on the road I will give you an update. Sorry about that.

Having mine on a non-track hybrid vehicle not much really that's noticeable. Maybe a little stiffening of the strut/shock towers.

I read one thread about some getting their recalls done in their driveway with the mobile service and I'm thinking, man, I really need to get my recalls done. Then I read this thread and I'm like, nope, I'll wait some more.

Yeah it's definitely frustrating. When I installed the brace I just had to move that one connector like half an inch from where it was and I didn't unplug anything so it just must be crazy timing that the next morning it's dead.

Just an update for you since you mentioned recalls. I just got off the phone with the service department. They are replacing the battery, doing another recall (the gauge cluster one), and replacing the module I believe? The tech did say that when they do software updates/recalls it could have an effect on other things so yeah, if your truck is running fine definitely hold off for now.

I got the truck back on Friday and it seems to be funning fine again. As for the brace, it does feel like it improved the handling just a little bit when turning a little more "aggressively". I don't have any real data to back that up but I do think it helped just a little bit.

Thanks for getting back on this, JKD. I really appreciate it. It's definitely a tempting mod. Since I live where the roads a generally flat and straight, I'm going to put that money towards a set of better tires when the time comes.

I would agree. I don't regret doing it but you could probably put that money to better use somewhere else.
