It is NOT a mandatory thing. It is simply a Strut (support) that connects the two Front Suspension towers and helps keeping the body "stiff".
Which means, Less body flexing that occurs overtime.
It was a common thing to add to early Mustangs.. My Brother had a few...
Installing one doesn't hurt...

Yes, I installed a Steeda strut tower brace on my 2007 Mustang & even through my steering was tight, the brace made it tighter, stiffer, no body roll on turns, like driving a go kart. I plan on getting this for my Maverick as well. Does anyone know the torque settings this brace? Is anything in the way when installing it? Thanks.

I just answered another thread on installing this, a few months ago..
There is a canister, that I had to loosen and reattach with a wire tie...
I also included some photos....

Check out this thread....

Ford Maverick Strut tower brace Steeda Steeda Install (3)

Below is the final installation. I have noted the mods that I had to make it fit with little work...

I highlighted the "Clip" and "hole in the bracket" that I had to leave "Loose" for the Strut to fit with minimal rearranging of components... ;)

The angle is determined by the original bolt location (angle).
You are replacing one of the front strut bolts with a (supplied longer one)..

What is its purpose? Why would you need this?
the purpose is to support and prevent the unibody from twisting going off road. it also help steering and and make the front in seem tighter and have faster response time. it also has aesthetic value.

Your EcoBoost could be different.
I own a hybrid. No master cylinder or booster per se, they're electric brakes.
If you are speaking about the brake fluid reservoir. No problem, there is plenty of room with a Hybrid as the picture's show.
Good Luck
