Sorry, I mean this with respect but the word play is going over your head or your hyper focused on this being meaningful/related/attached to something historic about Ford.
I was joking with it, don't take it too seriously.
But the reason why the initial release price was $19,995 it was a reference to the original Maverick. My post above has been updated facts from a Ford Performance article.. Ford was paying an homage to the Maverick nameplate and spirit of the original.
