If I turn it off with the touch screen it will start stopping the next time I start the truck. Dealer when I call says she thinks it's suppose 2 do that, I think she is wrong. Is she?

I believe that most of the options reset to default upon shut down. My 23 Lariat has the START/STOP on the console to the rear of the shifter. I leave it on, but I do turn off the HOLD which stays off.

Mine has the same button, you also can do the same thing on the touch screen if you use the menu on the S. Wheel, mine is also a 23.

The MY22-24 Ecoboosts all revert to the A/S/S system being ON unless you program it out in Forscan or add aftermarket components. No reason to think the MY25 behavior is different just because it doesn't use a physical button...

“A/S/S system” is an apt descriptor, as for most of us the Auto Start/Stop is indeed a pain in the…well, you know. And it “stinks” that we can’t shut it off permanently.

The start/stop feature makes no sense to me. On my 2022, it's set to ON, but it rarely seems to engage. I always get the symbol on the screen showing it's disabled. Whatever. Annoying feature to begin with.

It will default to "on" again at every startup. I was able to disable it on my '24 permanently with FORscan. I'd assume that will be possible with the '25, but I'm not familiar with FORscan with the refreshed models.

They also made an add-on aftermarket module for 22-24 that would turn it off every time you started the truck, essentially performing a button-push behind the scenes. But it's not clear to me that it works with a 25 that uses only a touchscreen button. What I'm reading is it only works if you have a standard, hard button.

Since you are a 22 hybrid, your 12v Battery is shot if that is happening.

Our 2022 is ecoboost, not hybrid. Our 2023 is the hybrid model. But when i had the 22 at the dealer for service, they checked the battery (supposedly) and said it tested fine. I still think I will replace it with a new and better battery this summer.

You had the recalls done?

Like were you in the mix for the FLA battery installed, or had the AGM already?

There are several reasons why it's disabled automatically, one being the battery voltage is too low, so system not sure it'll start again depending on how long you sit with all the things running but the engine.

The dealer quick checks on batteries are about worthless, if that's what they did. If above a minimum they call it good enough. They'd likely have to keep overnight, charge it up first, see how much drains, load test the next day, for full report. Probably want to charge on that work.
Hybrids commonly seem to be called a "problem" at magical 39% SOH or SOC, forget which one has been reported. That's pretty bad at that point, usually a bad cell.
