14000 miles and my drivers door is squeaking. I sprayed the hinge with WD 40, and it still squeaks. I used a mirror to see if I could spray further in the hinge. Sprayed more WD 40, with no luck.

I guess I will be visiting Ford shortly.

Hopefully that's not a precursor to this issue

Almost sounds more 'plastic' than metal. Agree with MM Mav.

If you think it’s the door check and not the hinge , have it replaced before it tears on the welds!
They are cheap and even common to go out on Mercedes too!

put down the WD40 and slowly back away. it's a thin film lube that will quickly go away.
do get a spray can of lithium lube, it's made for this job

I had the exact same problem. I got the some WD40 White Lithium Grease spray from home depot. Take the nozzel and stick it inside where the door check sits on the door side. And spray, work the door back and fourth. Then let it sit for some time and the noise will be gone

Use silicone lubricant instead of WD on the hinges and try some white lithium grease on the door detent.

I have a brand new 2025 Ford Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid and the driver door started squeaking when opening and closing the door in under 1,000 miles. Driving me nuts. I never had this issue with my '22 Maverick after 4 years and 100k miles.

I stopped by local auto parts store and picked up the White Lithium Grease spray, as you recommended. Sprayed really well. Didn't help at first. I just kept working the door back and forth and after about 10 door swings it started sounding better and better. By 20 doors swings, the sounds are gone. Took quite a bit to get the product all worked around.

Thank you so much for this suggestion.

You will have to take off the door panel. Read online how to do this. Next take out the speaker. You have to look inside the door and you will see 3 springs. Spray lot of lubricant on the springs. . Your squeak will go away. Mine came back in 2 years and I did it again. Squeak is gone.
