Had my oil and filter done at the dealer yesterday, and like I always do, check it cold next morning. It was just a little over half. I like to have it just around the ‘full’ hole. My dealer only uses semi synthetic (I know, don’t get me started) so my question is can I top it off with full synthetic as long as it’s still 5-30 weight? I’m thinking no problem. Thanks!

Yup, I second that. Think you'll be good to go!

Truthfully, the "hole" is the "you've gone too far hole, now take some out" hole.

You SHOULD be anywhere in the cross-hatched area for proper performance.

This is what the manual shows for a 2023 hybrid. Hole "C" above the hash marks is maximum.

Okay, but mine is an EcoBoost and I would just like it to be at the second hole or a teeny bit lower. My dipper doesn’t have a hole ‘c’. So I just want it at hole B. This is starting to sound weird😱 Anyway….

There is nothing but a line for B in that picture.

If it is anywhere between "A" and "B" and below "C" you are good, but I am like you and would want it close to or at "B".

I like to fill mine to "B" (Nominal) or slightly below. In cold weather I've had the level increase to the "C" hole (I believe from fuel dilution) even though I avoid short trips as much as possible.
