What was the deal? What did you pay for the Maverick? What did they give you on trade? What Ranger did you buy?

I’m betting it wasn’t a great deal BUT I’m happy for you if you wanted more truck and went for it.

I call a deal a concession made by the seller that's below what he had hoped to get that brings the purchase to something the purchaser is willing to pay without feeling as if he got ripped off. Of course we know that the dealership is going to make a profit off the sale. And the salesman is going to get a commission. But anytime I hear the manager or salesman make a comment that's contains the sentence "I had to XYZ in order to make the sale", I feel that the customer has gotten at least some kind of a deal. Could he have gotten a better deal had he held out for more? Possibly or possibly not. Could he have gotten a better deal elsewhere? Possibly or possibly not. But the seller had to make at least some concession or pass some savings along to the customer.

Traded my 24 Ecoboost today, found a Ranger at a good deal, or at least it appeared to be. I really loved the Maverick, but, it was just to good to pass up.
Lots of $3k Ranger incentives from Ford now. Nevermind the dealer contribution to boot. Easy to score a good deal now.

My Dad always said “ you give them yours and buy there’s”. I bought the Maverick and the end of Covid, and the chip shortage. Someone totaled my Tundra, and after weeks of looking I found a Maverick that we could afford. Loved it, but it wasn’t what I really wanted.
As far as a better deal, probably so, I had a specific one in mind, which I discovered was not easy to find. Time will tell if I’m happy with it.

Happy trails. No need to rationalize your decision. My motto is "see-like-buy"... if I can afford it plus have enough money for my wife to see-like-buy something costing the same. Happy wife, happy life.

I had considered the Ranger before the Maverick. I preferred rear wheel drive. But took the bet on the Mav.

Question to you….do you find the Ranger cabin cramped, compared to the Mav.?

I went from a 2019 Ranger to my 2025 Maverick and don’t notice much difference in interior space, rear legroom might be slightly less in the Maverick, but both the Ranger and Maverick are fine for 4 adults IMO. I was just looking for better gas mileage but had 65k of virtually trouble free miles from my Ranger.

Nobody is going to believe you bought a Ranger if you don't post a picture of it :teehee:

The Ranger feels bigger, there is more leg room in the back seat, especially behind the driver seat.
