Side by side height comparison: Lariat vs. Tremor

A Lariat and my Tremor.

Lariat tire height 28” stock tires.
Tremor 29” stock tires.

Ground to top edge of bed directly over rear axle height
Lariat 49 1/2”
Tremor 50 1/2”

Visually the Tremor looks a lot taller.

Ahead of the front tire, ground to paint heights.

That inch of extra suspension height
AND the inch taller tire really changes not only the look but also the driving feel.

My 2024 Lariat and my buddies desert sand 2025 Lariat.
Feels like dis:

The Lariat can hang a fast turn and gas sip when doing 85-90 MPH turning in 31-32 mpg’s.
His desert sand Lariat had the 4K tow and the BAP obviously.

The Tremor builds speed a lot faster going in a straight line and prefers to be driven around 65-70 mph.
And Thor doesn’t like zippy switch backs or fast turns. But it handles them adequately.

Notice the front ends, the front lower spoiler on the Lariat vs The Tremors lack there of.

My Lobo is lower than both the Lariat & Tremor. Better aerodynamics = lower coefficient of drag = better mpg.

Surprised more Hybrid Owners don’t lower their trucks a bit.

Maybe Ford should introduce a MP500G Efficiency package to increase the Hybrid’s mpg by 20%?

Zombies are typically skinny and break apart easily - but your Tremor would squish then better. That said, the Lobo does have a “cow catcher” front grille that would shed them effectively?

Either way, however, electricity will be cut disabling both gas & water dispensing - so better to stay home anyway!

Fun post...I was beyond set to grab an FX4, but then I test drove the Tremor and had to get it. It honestly feels just that much more "truckish" in how it appears and behaves. I love all trims and still feel the true winner is a hybrid xl awd...but the Tremor reeled me in.

Agreed. I love how it splits the difference between a real off roady truck and something enjoyable to daily drive and put gas in. It’s also relaxing to me at least knowing I can get out there down any gnarly or muddy road with more confidence (not that other trims can’t still do a lot, but it’s nice knowing this can get further out of the box). I know it’s more of a rough roader, but that’s all I needed.

I'm guessing the Lariat is a Hybrid?

I'm 6'3" and was easily able to feel the height difference of the Tremor getting out of the one I ended up buying and into a non-Tremor while they were sitting side by side at the dealership.

Tremor for the win!
