You beat me to the punch. I expect full reviews of the Tremor this week which should be exciting.

For the price of the Tacoma, you could get a fairly loaded Mav FX4 to daily drive AND a nice Jeep TJ or early 2000s Tacoma to wheel.

Thanks for posting!
A teaser/preview from TFL, $13K difference is a shocker though.
Guess TFL couldn't get a top tier Santa Cruz to compare.

Why is this even a thing? Maverick is NOT in same class as Toyota! Why not do Ranger Raptor vs Toyota TRD Pro! Video posted is apples vs oranges. Just saying.

25 MPG combined in the Tremor? Someone posted their Tremor window sticker and it was actually 21 MPG combined. But that still beats the Taco's. Barely.

I don't think that's the case here. Both are "off road spec'd" and at the top of their respective price categories.

My take away is passenger seating is impressive for the mav, ride height is comparable, towing is not.
This just tells me if your looking for a smaller around town vehicle for small jobs.
This video kinda solidifies the maverick price point. it's a smaller vehicle with some compromises.
It's going to be super interesting to see the off road as this will be where the band for the buck value comes in.

We know it's not a mid size. Presently there's nothing to really compare to"off-road " wise.

But then you'll be missing out on a rusted frame in just a few years of use. That legendary Toyota quality!

No, the TJ frames rust just as bad, but Chrysler/Mercedes/Fiat/Stellatis won't stand behind them at all. At least Toyota made a little effort to fix them, even if they only gave you a couple years to get it done.
