Side by side height comparison: Lariat vs. Tremor

A Lariat and my Tremor.

Lariat tire height 28” stock tires.
Tremor 29” stock tires.

Ground to top edge of bed directly over rear axle height
Lariat 49 1/2”
Tremor 50 1/2”

Visually the Tremor looks a lot taller.

Ahead of the front tire, ground to paint heights.

That inch of extra suspension height
AND the inch taller tire really changes not only the look but also the driving feel.

My 2024 Lariat and my buddies desert sand 2025 Lariat.
Feels like dis:

The Lariat can hang a fast turn and gas sip when doing 85-90 MPH turning in 31-32 mpg’s.
His desert sand Lariat had the 4K tow and the BAP obviously.

The Tremor builds speed a lot faster going in a straight line and prefers to be driven around 65-70 mph.
And Thor doesn’t like zippy switch backs or fast turns. But it handles them adequately.

Notice the front ends, the front lower spoiler on the Lariat vs The Tremors lack there of.

They are almost the same! Family member has a Lariat 4k tow FX4 2.0L and i Have the Tremor The FX4 is actually a bit faster!

My 2025 AWD XLT with the 2.0EB is pretty fast!! And some guys mentioned the 2025 and probably 2026 AWD 2.0 EB Mavericks all come with the 3.81 axle ratio!! I'm Entry 61!!

So, your 26 Tremor transmission is different than Your buddies and My 25 transmission?

Well now this is interesting. Ford's spec sheet for the 2026 shows that only the 4K-equipped Mavericks get the 3:81 final drive ratio, all others get the 3:63. The Tremor should be slower due to the larger OD tires.

3.81, 3.83 I was close !
If I was told wrong about gearing differences then I have no idea why it feels so much stronger.
Took my buddies Lariat out and he took my Tremor.
He said the same thing, ‘The Tremor feels like lower gearing, pulls harder through 1-5
Feels similar in 6 & 7.
They both go into 8th at 61 and go back to 7th at about 57 mph.
His Lariat is quick, feels quick but accelerates far differently than my Tremor.
He’s got 1900 miles on his 25 so not really broken in.
I got 1800 and my mpg are starting to come up.
At 1000 miles I was nearing 22 mpg now I’m just above 23 in my mixed driving.

I, we don’t know.
Dan that owns the 2025 AWD Eco drove my 2026 Tremor and he said it was very obvious that the Tremor pulls much harder up to about 60. After that we both agreed they feel similar.
Nearly the same miles, 1900 and my 1800
His mpg is averaging 26 and mine is 23 mpg’s

Mind you we both know these motors are not no where near broken in.
We are both still on the factory roach oil with a splash of (10%) synthetic so they can call it a blend.
Well both go Full synthetic @ 3,000 miles.
Then reset trip meter 2 and look again @ 5,000 miles.

It could simply be the fact that he breaks his engine in very softly.
I break mine in harder.
After 500 miles I’ve done five or six Italian tune ups all ready.
That alone could be it.

Nope, we don’t drive appliances up here. We are Turbo addicts.
Our gas mileage sucks and we like it that way.
