Side marker/extra turn signal question

I'm thinking about installing a side mounted turn signal where the XLT "vent" is on the side in front of the doors. I've found two options, one from Mabett and an Amazon special. Was wondering if anyone has had any luck with the Amazon special.

I have the ones you are asking about. Mine are branded Maxina and are holding up fine so far. I preferred the look of them and used the gloss black insert. I have a 23 Iconic Silver Hybrid .

Someone posted that they had a problem with burnt out bulbs with these but I have not and put them in last August.

No offense but the Mabbet one look gaudy. Personally if you're handy I would DIY and use your OEM fender inserts or purchase some extra ones off eBay and modify them.

The end result will look five times better than anything I've seen aftermarket.

I painted the mabbit second versions and still didn't care for them, way too big and bulky looking. The first versions of the mabbets leaked and failed due to water intrusion.

You may want to look for one that has a wiring harness instead of having to splice into the existing wiring. It was a little on the pricey side, but I remember seeing a wiring harness being sold separately.

I used the harness from amazon and works great no wire cutting and no failed connectors

Doing it yourself is easy and much less expensive. It all depends on the look you want.

I personally like the look of the mabbet inserts. Just my choice. I have had.mine in for a year and no problems so far (KOW)

I do like the Amazon specials, the Mabetts are a bit chunky but probably higher quality.
