Hi there. This Maverick shake concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end once that is done. Went to the dealership today to fix the shutter vibration problem on my Maverick. They could not fix it they needed parts… even though I mentioned that it could be the CV axle … they said the vibration is caused by bad motor mounts…Hi there. Mine had this and some unrelated recalls then after they did the recall work and replaced the axles they found a bad bearing in the transmission requiring an engine out-transmission replacement... I am out of a car for probably two months now per the dealer, pretty terrible experience overall considering the light driving this thing has done.

Possible but seems early for a motor mount or mounts to be bad but they must have noticed that the engine was easily rocked. I suspect they were checking the CV joints and noticed that the engine rocked when they put pressure on it. Did they keep it or let you drive it home until parts came in?Went to the dealership today to fix the shutter vibration problem on my Maverick. The dealership dropped off my car at my home this evening. They are waiting for motor mount parts til next week… I asked if my truck was safe they said it was.Possible but seems early for a motor mount or mounts to be bad but they must have noticed that the engine was easily rocked. I think the hybrid is having a lot more recalls than the 2.0 Ecoboost. I have had 2 but they came to my house to do both so far and they were only for a software refresh that affected all models I believe. The dealership dropped off my car at my home this evening. I also asked them to correct my recalls while they had my truck all day…and the dealership said they did but the Ford Pass still says I still need them taken care of. I’m starting to lose faith in the dealership. It’s too bad because I love my truck but I’m tired of bringing it in so often and my problems aren’t getting fixed![]()
Update. After my dealer having my truck for eight days: They confirmed my suspicions were right. Both front axels will be replaced along with intermediate half shaft. Parts come in on Monday and I’ll have the truck Tuesday evening.I’m having the same issues as described with my Hybrid. Just hit 36k.
I just got my truck back after three days at the dealership. They replaced my motor mounts and replaced both CV axles. Ford even set up a rental car for me during the time I didn’t have my Maverick. Ford Company followed up with my dealership and kept contact with me to make sure everything was taken care of. Ford stepped up to the plate on this fix …so I am happy with how they dealt with this problem I knew when I bought the first year of maverick there were going to be problems… so I bought an extended warranty 125,000 miles. There have been a lot of recalls more than I expected but the CV axles and motor mounts surprised me. I am just glad Ford is standing behind their product and taking care of problems that arise. I am just hoping my Maverick won’t have the long board engine problem that awaits ……It just seems like a lot of new cars and trucks no matter the company.Update. @Ford Motor Company You have a problem with your trucks. You should figure this out.
The three year part of the B-B warranty is coming up for the first group of Mav buyers. We’ll be watching to see what happens to guys like you. So………Ok so I came here looking for Info - and you guys pretty much provided it.
2022 XLT hybrid - 68,000 Miles - so of course no warranty. Definite shake on acceleration - stops immediately when you let the gas off - easy to feel when you accelerate onto the freeway! So I'm guessing I will have to go through a month long dance with the dealer as they try and identify the issue - Duh - there has to be a FSD out on this - it sounds like its pretty common - and an obvious either design or supplier issue - that ford has no interest in fixing - because - well - look at me - get outside of warranty period - bend over customer for a big repair bill - how convenient
So………UPDATE: OK so I was sure its CV joints - i didn't want to get stuck with a big bill - so i thought - how about getting the extended warranty. i checked on that - $5300 bucks - no thanks. so finally got the Maverick in to the dealer. sure enough - CV axles. But - heres the cool part.
I had an issue with the PVC valves setup - Dealer quoted me $800 to replace it. Including $400 for the part - BS - Its pollution Control - should be covered under waranty. Service advisor agresively pushed back - including justifying a 1000% markup on the part - its 40 bucks - readily available - but the advisor insisted "we are allowed to mark up parts".
So I called ford - ended up they agreed with me, and they fixed it under warranty. But I had forgotten that as part of their customer satisfaction program - they extended my B2B warranty to 100K miles.
so Long story short - getting both CV axles replaced tomorrow - 100 bucks !
I'll take it!
