Shaking While accelerating only.

So, I just heard back from the dealer:

"Comments: right front CV boot starting to seep, vibration on acceleration is due to CV axles recommend replace both front CV axles.
Repair Estimate:
$1359.64"

I have 21k miles on my "22. Is that really not covered under warranty?! The fact that an AI search says that CV axles usually last around 100k to 200k with proper maintenance has me pretty upset. I've reached out to the dealer to question this charge, and we'll see what they say.

You are not only covered by the powertrain warranty but you are now covered by this.

This conditioned happened to me yesterday where upon acceleration, the car started shaking. I drove it to the dealership today and there was minimal shaking. They are probably going to say nothing is wrong. Can I send you my vin# and dealership info so you can look into and maybe tell them what to look for.

Ford confirmed the issue, they are going to replace the half shafts, @bighap thanks for posting that notice, I made sure the the technician was aware of the issue, so they knew what to check.

I had this issue and dropped the car off at the dealer with a copy of the customer satisfaction program (25N09). They called about 45 minutes later and said that both halfshafs were on order and would be replaced under the program. No muss no fuss.

I'm about 99,200ish miles, which is about the time to start watching them for normal wear and tear replacements anyway, so I'm pleased with Ford''s handing of this issue.
