Mine is going in on 7/8. I thought maybe it was the tires but I just put on a new set and it didn't change anything.

22 Hybrid Lariat Lux with 33k miles.

This truck is "great" for the size and mileage, however the reliability is not good. I have a potential ticking time bomb of an engine. They have already replaced a leaking axle seal, which in hindsight probably was leaking due to the developing CV failure. I'm fighting with the interior lights still even after a new BCM + battery cable + all the updates under warranty then putting in an AGM battery on my own. There was a rattle that took literally 6 visits for them to figure out even though every time I told them it was the rear window, and wouldn't you know it the solution was changing the rear window. Now I'm dealing with axles that seem like they have about a max 35k life from all the reports, and I drive about that much each year for work. I really don't think yearly axles is going to be worth keeping the truck. Oh yeah, don't forget about the seemingly bi-monthly recalls we have been getting as well.

My assumption is that the new years of trucks are going to have the same issues as well, it's just a matter of putting miles on them. At least one other poster in one of the threads I read said they had the axles replaced a second time already. So in the other threads where people are saying their 23 and 24s are ok probably just means they are on borrowed time until they rack up some miles.

It's the CV joints. Common problem with the hybrids... Not sure why they don't have a recall for it yet....
Mine haven’t gone bad yet, but I’m afraid they will soon. I agree we need to pressure ford to issue a recall over this before we are all out of warranty

I just bought a 24 hybrid. 4 k on it already and I love it.

No issues yet with the cv axle.

Does anyone know if it was resolved for the 24 model year. VERY UNLIKELY

Also, is the repair a permanent fix. NO

I assume it's taken care of under warranty. ONLY IF YOU STILL HAVE A WARRANTY WHEN IT HAPPENS, NOT ALL DO

Report it to the NHTSA. If enough people report the issue, it can push Ford to recall and fix it.

If it is a not a safety issue, NHTSA doesn't care and won't push a manufacturer to fix it. They are not the ministry of customer satisfaction.

I believe it can be a safety issue, a failed cv axle can cause a lost of control to the vehicle.

Happened to my 2022 Ford Maverick hybrid at 35K. At first I thought it was an alignment issue. When I took it to the dealer, talked an advisor and explained what was going on, and I was there to get an alignment. He knew what it was and we did a ride along sure enough it was the CV axle issue. Stated it was covered under the warranty and it was replaced within a week. No problem now but kind of concerned that it may happen again in the future.

If it breaks, yes it is a safety issue. The vehicle could lose motive power or could also roll while in park. But until we (and the government) hear of them breaking like that, NHTSA is not going to step in because of vibration.

I took my 22 Hybrid in this morning at 33k and they are going to be replacing both axles. The p/s is leaking and has play, the d/s isn't leaking yet but has play in it.

I'm seriously considering trading it in after the repair, I can't be replacing axles every 30k. I really wish there were some true competitors. To haul my work gear I literally use every inch of the bed length so the Santa Cruz is out (though it seems to have plenty of issues as well) and the next smallest truck is probably the Ridgeline. It just really sucks that the Ridgeline costs $48k in a comparable trim to the Lariat Lux which was $32k. But I guess I got what I was paying for, a $20k truck with $12k of comfort features.

I'm at 19k miles on my '22 hybrid lariat and dropped it off at the dealership today due to excessive shaking while accelerating. Also had 3 recalls for them to address.

They told me to plan on them having my truck the whole day, likely part of tomorrow due to the warranty work likely taking 3/4 of the day.
