Since the drive axle on hybrid does the driving forward and braking with regen braking its a lot of stress on the drive axle. I wonder why some are failing. Bad metal? I sure would like to see the old axle and cv joints. Makes me wonder how long mine will last. Sounds like extended warranty is a good idea. I can see them failing later in life outside of warranty period. Although they don't appear to be super costly. Escape hybrid axle at rock auto below..
