Dropped my truck off today at GYF. Had an appointment and everything. Called at 2pm and was told it was in the garage.

Plead my case to my boss, who permitted me and my coworker to leave early so she could drop me off. Got to dealership and...guess what? Yep...they hadn't even had a chance to do ANYTHING to my truck. Told me they could pick it up/drop it off on Wednesday door-to-door for me; no loaner vehicles available. The service guy ran it through the carwash for me, but FFS!! I got inside my truck to drive home and it smelled like two greasy mechanics were playing full court basketball and doing the nasty in there.

Not happy. WTF is the point in making an appointment if they can't do the work?!

Anyone else singing the recall blues?

Ask the Service Manager and General Manager if that is what you should expect from them. Tell them as the customer your time is important and if that is the way they operate you will let Ford know you are very unhappy with the dealership.

But they may take that poorly and instead have the entire service department have sex in your truck.

Took 4 hours for an oil change today. They told me 2 hours. Nothing I could do. They did give me $10.00 off.

My recall ended up costing me six weeks without mine (thanks for explaining above why mine came back with greasy marks all over the interior). Yuk.

Happened to me today. Took mine in for the 12v cable overlay. Advisor said Ford tells the tech to count the clips. I guess I didn’t have enough so they need to order some. I’ll be taking mine back next week. At least I’ll get to have an awkward car ride with 2 more Lyft drivers!

Sorry to hear you didn’t have a good experience ☹ I would suggest talking calmly with the service manager but since you’re dealing with GYF I wish you luck. I had a similar issue with them not getting to it but got a Bronco as a loaner. When I picked it up the service manager said my truck was immaculate and went through the interior and exterior and replaced several trim pieces he thought the shop scratched.
