Any more information to go on? Is the truck doing anything wrong? Check engine light? App provide more details? There have been a few reports of the AWD needing service here, bad PTU.

above the service required, does it say a fault?

2.0 eco fx4 , less than 200 miles , other than the radio issue , my 2 charging ports on the dash are not working but the one on the console is.
Have you tried a factory reset in the main screen to see if it resolves your inoperable charging ports? Worth a shot.

If the message said service required it must of set off a code. The mechanic plugs in a diagnostic tool into the Ob2 port and can read the code then look up what that code was. Maybe it is just a glitch and he reset it.
If you activate FordPass they don't even need your truck at the dealership

Open the Ford Pass app and click on the vehicle icon on the bottom of the page. It will tell you exactly what's going on.

There was a huge recall on the explorer and maverick and bronco. Something with the trail braking system and oil can I think

This entire post doesn't strike me as very helpful, especially in comparison to the one it criticizes.

Turn it off and on 2 times it might go away. Mine said reduced power after that menu. In the owners manual with a new battery the computer relearn and can throw up an engine code. Just restart a few times and see if it goes away. I also randomly had the trailer sway control activate on the freeway with no trailer. Gave alert then turned the wheel. Was going straight down the road. There is a recall notice for it I just disabled it in the menu. For the sway control it will just be reprogrammed ie software

I took it in and the Service Adviser said he didn't know what to do since when I brought it in, it didn't say: "Service Required"...he then took it to a mechanic to have it "reset" whatever that means. He said next time it happens to bring it in immediately. Interesting, so if I am 20 miles away from the dealer I should bring it in...I hope it won't happen again. Other than that no other problems. Though the dealer I ordered it from had 4 Mavericks, two were Hybrids. One guy ordered it and he hoped he could afford to by it, his next step was the Finance Manager. His Car was black with steely wheels. Another guy, bought an Alto Blue Hybrid, fairly well loaded with 18" wheels, it was used. There was also a Hot Redd Pepper XLT. A couple of days ago they sold a White Hybrid. Never seen that many Mavericks at a dealer. So far, the only Mav I saw on the road was an Iconic colored one; looked great.
Could be the fuel system was experiencing a tank expansion problem. Be sure not to overfill, stop at the first click. Cars with fuel caps often get a code when not tightened properly.

On a tangential note, EVERYONE should own at least a basic OBD scanner.

Not really necessary where I live. Several of the Auto Parts stores will let you use theirs for free. Just gives basic info, but good enough to see if you need to go to dealer.
