Seeking feedback: FX4 or 4K?

Also doesn't the skid plate have to get removed to do an oil change with the fx4? I think I read that.

yes sir it does... I agree best to get 4k town with lux package..

I also went with both. I do have plans to rent an RV to go camping with a group of friends and I will be doing some camping off the beaten trail in Big Bend National Park.

The main two reasons I gave up my MINI.

If Eco and Sport modes are important to you, don't get FX4.

If they aren't, get FX4 and 4K.

Just to update this thread, I think, for my use case I will go with 4k tow (skip fx4). my reasons
- I need SPORT mode - fx4 will remove it
- Ride noise is better with non fx4(I think tire tread pattern is more aggressive on fx4)

I miss the cool fx4 batch though. Thankyou all you guys, you are really helpful.

You can always buy the decals separately, and have a faux FX4.
