I have a lazy boy recliner. It reclines just fine but most of the time while reclining all of a sudden something releases and the chair partially goes down but not all the way. I read the recliner mechanism here, Its really difficult to replace it. Because La-Z-Boy is imported, they may not offer replacement parts the way the USA-made product does.
Ford should partner with lazyboy to offer some upgraded special plush seating lol. I feel like it would be a must have option.

I have read and saw several comments about the uncomfortable seats. Are the seats in the Lariat better (more comfortable) than the XLT? We take long trips and average 10-11 hours so the seat needs to be comfortable
The seats in the lariat are great and very adjustable electric for the drivers seat. I have driven in an xlt and didn't have any issue with the driver seat. 10-11 hours would make anyones butt cranky.

I'm having great difficulty with the driver seat. I'm very uncomfortable after about 30 minutes. For me, the seat is angled too high and it's too short. My femur is too long or something. I visited an upholsterer this morning but I'm trying to find a better solution. I don't think there is one.

Anyone have experience compared to a modern Mazda? My wife’s 2016 CX-5 Gand touring seats are super supportive and super hard. Both of us get numb butt after 45min-1hr, hoping these seats are softer than those (XLT lux on order)

I know the passenger side isn’t powered, but is there any adjustable lumbar for the passenger? Or at least a decent non adjustable support/contour to the seat? Had to buy a lumbar car pillow since Mazda thought a nearly flat back was good enough for the passenger seat

36k miles on my 2022 hybrid mav and no issues with seat comfort. I have driven over 900 miles non stop, with exception of fuel/restroom stops, without issue.

I have a 24 XLT with the manual seats. Overall they are pretty comfortable but I wish they had some lumbar adjustment. After 50-100 miles I find myself shifting around to relieve back strain.

My seats are plenty comfortable for driving. Though they aren't great for resting in my case at least. Between my 2 shifts I have and hour and a half so I nap sometimes. My arms lose circulation because of the raised sides if I'm not snugged between them. Resting on my side is fine though. For refrence I'm 6'0 and 170 lbs.

Exactly. The front
Lariat seats are very comfortable. Driven 5,500 miles in them now. Love the Active X seat material. Way better than I was expecting. I believe it's going to really hold up over time.

My only seat complaint is adjustability of the bottom cushion. You can adjust it only up and down. Wished it would tip down in the front. Bothered me the first week or two, but I've gotten used to it.

The front edge will not tilt downward. Sit in a current GMC Canyon w/ electric adjustable seats and you will understand how Ford could fix the seats to suit almost everyone. Wish I had the option of cloth or leather when I got my 23 Lariat.

Oh we got one of these people huh. Let me explain something to you it’s not negative Nancy. And I do own the truck. I don’t know where the hell you come along telling me that I don’t own the truck and that what I’m saying is false. Just because it’s good for you doesn’t mean it’s good for everybody else. I have said time and again it is the bolsters on the seat that hurt. Why the hell would I sign up for a website if I didn’t own the truck. Why would I make a post on a group if I didn’t own the truck. Your claim does not hold water. Shit I’ll take a picture improve to you I own the damn truck

Luxury cars huh? In my life I have owned a Hyundai Tucson, a Honda element, traded in the Ford escape and Ford edge, and have owned a Nissan Murano. Tell me which one of those is a luxury car. I’m gonna go with none of them. Tell me which one of those was built with a lot of space other than the Nissan. Well more space I should say.

the Negative Nancy post was posted March 16, 2022. the 2022 model year was the 1st year, there was a long wait, and very few people had theirs built at that point. Dont take it personally.

I've owned both. The Lariat seats are a bit more comfortable.
