Just did a search for a maverick in my area. Turns out there are over a dozen listed at various dealerships in my area. Ranging from xl to lariat. Most of them are in similar configurations I have had on order for 10 month. Starting to wonder how these dealerships are getting allocations way before verified orders are filled!!!

This happens automatically unless dealers specifically go through their inventory and tell it to not send a certain VIN to their website.

If you call the dealerships, you may find that only 1 of the 10 is actually a sellable unit that was refused by the person that ordered. The other 9 are customer orders. The way the Ford system works is that the images automatically get allocated to the dealer and get shown on their marketing page. Technically, the dealer "owns" the truck up until the time the buyer (person that ordered it) comes and picks it up.

Ford Corporate controls the web site that shows the dealers stock and it shows retail orders when they ship.

I found that if you can’t see the window sticker it’s a retail. Unless it’s been declined and then you can see the sticker even though it’s a retail sticker.

At least that was my experience.

Have walked through a couple of dealerships and the trucks were parked in the showroom

They aren't on the lot typically. Even if in the shown room it may be until it's driven off. Could also be the truck of an employee.

It means 1. If 1 is on the lot that makes sense. 10 does not.

I would 100% expect to see dealer stock start to appear soon. Most of the folks waiting on orders have constraints. I'm sure the dealers are beating on Ford to give them showroom stock so they can get rich with predatory selling prices. I'm guessing Ford is already building a certain number of non-constraint Mavericks to keep the factory busy, and that those will go to dealer inventory.
