why was it more difficult than the bed? there is a ramp to get it into that hitch carrier, no? I've seen the Pakmule and they look great. But your advice is appreciated.

There is a ramp to get it up, but with the truck being so low, I think it would have been just as easy to get it in the bed with a ramp. Not to mention, then I could put the kickstand down to help when tying it down instead of balancing it with one hand. Once it was on, I was nervous it would fall off when driving

I have a scooter carrier that I never used. But I have gone through 3 trucks and no longer have the scooter. That being said I can understand your concerns.

It’s a 1957 Allstate 811.40, we also have the same year 811.30 and several Cushmans from a rare 1937 first year to 1965 last year. The last one that I posted multiple photos of was built a lonnnnng time ago by a well known automotive customizer. It was stretched 12”, lowered, has custom paint, and 1959 Cadillac taillight and a 570cc V-Twin engine. (From the factory they only had 8-hp).

I remember about 62-64 time, riding a Harley Davidson Topper scooter. 2 cycle engine, cranks with lawn motor pull rope, and automatic clutch. Give it the gas and go!

Yes, I’ve had them since the early 90’s when I was a kid. We had a ton of them back then. I still have a blast on them! The white one is a 50, which is all they sold in the US, the black one is a JDM spec 80, that my dad had shipped from Japan in the 90’s. My brother and I had it painted to resemble a GSXR of the era, but I’ve been collecting parts to do a cosmetic restoration and bring it back to OEM looks.

I've always wanted one since I've seen 1 I think it was about 93 at a Yamaha dealership,They could not drag me off of that bike for like an hour... Unfortunately, now, the scarcity of them has priced them out of the range I am comfortable of paying.

I can’t imagine paying what they go for now, they go for more than most full size bikes of the era. I have a local guy that has offered me $5,000 for the white one on multiple occasions, but I’ll never sell it.

That sounds like a good plan to me if I were you I would never sell them, especially the jdm spec,That thing has got to be a unicorn in the states
