According to Car & Driver magazine, the base CyberTruck will cost 70K. A tri-motor will set you back 80K.

Local Ford dealer has 2 Lightnings on the lot for 92K each.

If I was loaded to the gills and felt the need to buy an almost 100K vehicle I would almost certainly look for the nearest therapist and have what little brain matter I have examined. I would have to check and see if the VA covered it first.

I love my Maverick. The perfect truck for me at the right time. I'm getting 23 mpg avg over 800 miles (90%+ local driving, no trips to speak of) and the bloody thing with the I.R.S. handles incredibly good even with the Pirelli tires. I can only imagine how much better it will be with the Falknen Wildpeaks. which are light years better tire.

Looks like cross between a Hummer and a DeLorean.

I don't think it's ugly just odd looking. I think the big issue with ev pickups is the range while towing. And the cost. I think Toyota is right, hybrids are the way to go at least for now.

I've seen a couple on the road - first thing that jumps to mind: "FUGLY!"

I could get past the looks if they had something compelling - like super efficient and or great value (you know, like the Prius had to contend with for 25+ years) - nope, this thing is ugly AND expensive.

Common Misconception. It was never said that the glass was bulletproof, just the body. It's still "stronger" glass according to Tesla, but not bulletproof.

I read a story about a Rivian getting into a fender bender and it cost close to 50K for repairs. I cant imagine how much it would be to repair one of these things.
