Just installed these bars from Realtruck. Amber gave me a nice discount, and got them yesterday.
I had the same issue as others with the 'nut plates' for the right side bars for the Hybrid, but was able to make them work.
I love the look, and they are very steady/strong feeling.
The directions are pretty wonky. I've been a mechanic forever, so I was able to solve the issues with the directions.
I know a lot don't like them on the Mav, but they will help my wife getting in, and the dogs will use them also.
They do not hang much lower than the side of the truck, so not worried about clearance issues.
Looks more and more like my 2003 Explorer Sport trac.
Just much better fuel mileage

They look good to me and could be practical, I might go that route if I don't get my Hybrid lowered.

WJOHNM, the video I saw was installing them on a Bronco, which has threaded holes from the factory just for installing running boards.
The Maverick does not have any threaded holes, so they invented some 's' bolts and 'nut plates' to install them on the Mav.
I wondered how they were going to work, and several people have had trouble getting them mounted.
I must say though, once installed they look and feel solid.

Hey man. Until somebody starts making the payments for you, they can tell you what to install. Looks good and you gotta take care of momma. From one black BAP owner to another. Also. Like the window vents. Do you like? Considering for my ride as well.

WJOHNM,
Like I said in a previous post, they invented some s hook bolts and these nut plates that you slide into the bottom of the truck.
Not impossible, but it takes a bit of head scratching to get them installed. And they sure look good when installed.
Stop by Orlando, I can help you get them put on.:like:
