It should have a recall. I just hope the new master switch installed in my Maverick is not of the same faulty batch. Lucky for me no rain was in the forecast .
Now I'm worried this will happen to my 22 Maverick.

Will dealer refuse to warranty it if they see it’s disconnected?

I wouldn't think so but if you're concerned, pop it in before you arrive.

Excellent, I'm assuming the next step is to replace the switch, the rear right or probably the one in the driver's control, isn't? Mine has this model number: LB5T-14529-BCW

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
I just had this issue with my 2022 XLT. I was able to unplug the rear door switch and follow a Ford tech's instructions on how to jump the top four switch contacts and raise the window.

Now, I need to replace the driver's side window switch. Does Ford offer this switch at no charge or a reduced price due to it being a known issue?

Part number?

Thanks for any information,
Bob

23 XLT hybrid (27,000miles) with auto up/down on front driver window only. Yesterday my right rear window went down all the way after only trying to lower it slightly and it would not go back up after trying several methods. Thankfully not raining when I drove home. Used the quick fix listed here and it worked perfectly. Now it don't have to use cardboard/plastic/duct tape until it gets repaired. THANKS so much!

This doesn't seem any easier than just replacing the switch
Wait a week for a part to come in while your window is down the whole time.
Or start the process with this.
Which would you prefer?

Perhaps you have other vehicles to drive and can garage the Mav until part arrives.

Almost 40 years ago, in my '83 Cougar, part of the window switch failed suddenly, leaving me unable to raise the passenger window.

Naturally, I was a half hour from home, and it was about to rain.

For some reason, there was an old wire bread tie that had fallen on the floor.

I tortured that into two pieces, removed the switch, and was able to hotwire the two needed connections . . .
