IMHO is to much money, just like others said a 2024 or even left over 2023 (those still exist with 0 miles, left overs from the camera recall) get your extended warranty and enjoy your truck and your hard earned $$.

I looked this week online at Rangers and Colorados on the lots around me. They were 52 and up. A Colorado 2 wd with the Z71 package was 64k! It might have been gold plated though
In 1957 top of line was a bit north of $5000.00!!!

Labor day sales will be last time for deals before '26 models which will be more due to tariffs. All Mavericks will start at 32Kand go to 50K before tax and fees which is around 11%.

I posted a while back about taking the Mav to get a keypad installed (fail!) and looking at the new pickups "on sale" with employee pricing; there were many that were over $100k. And they were NOT fancy compensator trucks like Raptor, just F250 4x4 work trucks with a bunch of options and trim levels.
It was shocking at the time, now I'm just nonplussed at new vehicle pricing. People actually buy these.

I am interested in the Ford MAVERICK TREMOR. I have found no such deals or sales on them happening, except one at discounted msrp. No low apr or so on.

Should I stop looking and wait? By the looks of it, I am going to end up spending close to 50k for a Maverick after all the fees and tax and so on.
You are mistaken if you ever think prices will go down enough to make a difference. Nothing ever "returns" back to a previous price. Capitalism at its worst.

2025 sunroof Maverick Tremor priced at 42k. Finance rate at 7% obo. Taxes. Sums up to somewhere around 47k.

I feel like I should wait for some price changes, but I don't I should expect much of a discount even waiting. Am I wrong??????????

it's a '25 you should not pay above invoice at a minimum. They are currently discounting 1-2K on these remaining models. taxes and fees are ~ 11% added to get out-the-door price. it's a 44K truck if you build it. Tremors and Lariats are usually customer orders- they are harder to find. Ones on the lot are usually there because someone changed their mind. If it's your dream truck, you risk losing it. 2025 currently is the year to have. '26 models have features removed. If you can afford it, negotiate to get it- they are in the business to sell trucks and they want to clear '25 inventory.

Yeah we're at a point on the 25s where if you want "any maverick as long as I get the best price/features deal" you can wait it out, but if you want specific trims, features, colors, you need to hunt and pounce because the cherries are gonna get picked.

If you aren't married to the idea of a MY25 or MY26, the deals right now are on MY24s. There are still plenty on lots due a 6-month long stop sale earlier in the year. MY24 Mav Lariat Tremors can be picked up for good discounts right now if you know how to pit dealers against each other. Ford also has a $3K cash back incentive for MY24 Mavericks (PGM11524).

MY25 & MY26s Mavs really aren't materially different from the MY24 Mav in my opinion, except for styling and Sync4. If you want Sync4, there are a few aftermarket kits that will give you that larger screen and the Sync4 APIM on a MY24 Maverick. MY25 & MY26sMav Lariat Tremors will be more expensive due to how Ford changed the trim levels starting with MY25. In MY24 and prior, Tremor was an option. Starting with MY25, Tremor is a trim which means you are paying trim pricing for something that is essentially just an option where they change a few components and some of the programming.

I would suggest you strongly consider hunting down a MY24 Mav. They are still out there and good deals to be had right now. I wouldn't pay a penny more than $38K for that, and even that is a little high.

Times have changed. If used vehicles are not available and your afraid to spend 25K for one that might have a unknown history, you have no choice but to buy new. Waiting around for prices to drop, I don't think so. Everything has gone up in the last year wether we like it or not. A few years ago, you could live on 65K a year very comfortable, now now it takes 85K or more!

consider resale when settling for a 2 year old "new truck" . In the future, the 24 will be much less desirable versus the 25. Adding sync 4 and the larger screen is not cheap ( $1500?) + I'm sure the 25 tremor has many different features than the 24. Your money, your choice. Good hunting.

Only problem with the above dealer is their addons are a sacred cow and their dealer fees are also high, but it's a frame of reference.

Step 1: Start with one dealer that has a Mav you would purchase, get them as low as you can. Do not mention a trade. It's fine to mention cash down.

Step 2: One you have gotten them as low as possible on the vehicle price with your cash down, if you have a trade bring it up and negotiate that as high as possible. Lastly, get a price sheet from them that shows your out the door cost, including their fees, addons, vehicle selling price, trade allowance and cash down. If you can, get them their sales manager to sign the price sheet but this isn't really a non-negotiable for shopping your deal.

Step 3: Go to the next dealer that has a Mav you would purchase that is as close as possible to the one you have a signed price sheet from the previous dealer on, show them the price sheet and tell them to beat it.

Step 4: Repeat until no other dealers within 200 miles will touch the lowest deal you have.

Step 5: Evaluate your deals. Select the one you are happiest with (which might not be the lowest absolute cost)

Step 5: Complete your purchase.

As much as I love my 2025 and enjoy all of the updates if you can get into a new 2024 Tremor in the upper 20s you should do it all day long.

I paid $31,300 for my 2023 Tremor.....in 2023.

EDIT: LOL I sold it for $34,800 almost a year later though.

On car buying in the current state of events:

Absolute prices will continue to go up, that's called "inflation". However, income should also be going up, so it's deceptive to say something like "when I was a kid, a new truck cost less than $5000" because the average annual income was also just $10,000. With our rapid inflation due to political posturing, corporate profiteering, and world events, 5 years from now a new Maverick XLT will likely be $45-50k or more. But hopefully your salary has also risen by 30%.

In post Covid times, the Transit(not Connect) T250 van I bought for $26k new in 2016 had a street value of $30-40k, even with the 75-125k miles it had on it. Campervans were all the craze, new vehicles were hard to get (supply lines were damaged), so the prices for many used vehicles skyrocketed. In the last year the street value has plummeted to less than I paid new, however.

Trying to "beat the system" by timing it is difficult because you never know what's coming. Prior to 2020, anyone paying MSRP or over were considered foolish, because you could always find new cars and trucks priced under MSRP with sales incentives. Now there is a new paradigm. Heck, during post Covid 2020-2025, people were paying 10, 20, even 40%+ over MSRP (Bronco, CyberTruck), and those who like to "order" a vehicle instead of buying off the lot were waiting 6 months to a year or more before delivery.

Prices are never "going down", but perhaps prices as a ratio of income will go down. I'd suggest that 6 months gross income is the most you should ever spend on a vehicle.
