Ok,port fuel injection could make me go for the 2025!all the hiteck stuff means nothing to me ! And does towing package give you a higher gear ratio and transmission cooler?
4k towing gives you a 4/7 pin trailer wiring harness, trailer brake controller, transmission cooler and larger capacity radiator. on ecoboost mavericks it also gives you a slightly different final drive ratio, but this isn't applicable to a hybrid.

I beat the 2025 increases and I preferred the Grandpa front end.
Got a $38,000 Lariat for $36,000 on my 2024 bought on 12/31/24

Yep on the Ecoboosts it will give you a higher final gear ratio and a trans cooler, and I believe radiator as well?

I paid $38,400 (X plan, Farm Bureau, and $100 offer) for my 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid 1/9/25 (ended up somehow being cheaper than the DORA).

Sounds like we both got what we wanted for a fair prices. That is a bonus of the rear camera stop sale is Maverick buyers have options at the moment.

OP, I also have a 22 ecoboost here in Western NC. I recently considered trading on both a 2024 and 2025 Maverick. I also looked at a Santa Cruz (nicer tech and interior). My takeaway was that it was six of one and a half dozen of the other. I really don't think you can go much wrong with any of those choices - 2024 or 2025 Maverick or a 2024 or 2025 Santa Cruz. If the numbers were right, I could happily go for any of them.

If you're a potential long-term owner, the 2025 ecoboost has what seems to be a nicer fuel injection system that should reduce carbon deposits on the valves.

PS: The depreciation on my ecoboost was horrific. In 2025 dollars, $12,000 depreciation for 32,000 miles.
Definitely it appears YMMV
I got a payout of 22K for my 2022 XL AWD Ecoboost that was totaled in early Feb - 39K on the odometer - after taxes etc ... was 27,000 final compensations total

I went 2024 - don't want more tech - parts are plentiful compared to 2025 - 2025 has newly introduced tech and components that I'd give a year to see how it goes ... and the front end i have to pass - prefer 2024

Cheers

2025 Mavericks use Sync4 and that has been out for 6 years now. If you didn't go Lariat your 2024 could be running software that is old enough to drive your Maverick.

Shiney and newer isn't always the best path in life .... I'd take a 1970's tech over current - Good luck with the 2025 - i hope it is bulletproof for those that choose one - again I passed and would again ;)
ETA
I also pass hard on the measely points they offer for ford Pass Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions

No idea the age of CTR but Sync 3 is more than 11 years old!
this will and won't be a surprise, but Connected Touch Radio / Ford Connected Audio is a one-and-done on the 22-24 Maverick.

Ford internally developed it to save cost compared to using Sync 3, 4, 4a. (I have no idea if they are still partnered with Microsoft on that or not, the original Sync was a LONG time ago.)

no other vehicle sold in North America used Ford Connected Audio. it's underpowered and as evidenced by how long it took them to fix the backup camera issue, they don't have a lot of development capability. there are press articles talking about how Ford is not going to use this system going forward.

as to what's next after Sync 4, no one knows yet. I'm sure whether it's Microsoft, Google, Apple or another player, they are going to want access to data and Ford surely does not want to give it at all or at the least not without a fee. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay would each be massively more powerful if they had access to vehicle systems using CANBUS or whatever comes next.

My daughter needs a vehicle and says she would like to keep my truck.so,should there be any reason not to buy a 2024 or should i get a 2025?definentley going to get a ecoboost and a trailor hitch and a cheap xlt.
Get a 2024, there are many good deals out there right now, shop around and you can fine one with a hitch and the turbo 2.0. I just got mine and it was way cheaper than a 2025. Find one with the "luxary package 2024" it comes with a hitch (2,000# towing), a drop in bed liner, and heated seats.

No shit? I guess that is why I really couldn't find anything on it when trying to look it up.

I just assuming based on the age of Sync 3 (11) and Sync 4 (6) that Connected Audio predated it by about 5 years. I stand corrected.

yep, the 21-up Escape and Bronco Sport started with Sync 3 and now Sync 4. Ford Connected Audio is uniquely shitty LOL.

Maybe this is an Off-Topic question, Why is port fuel injection a plus in this discussion? I don't know that much about it and just googled it, the results that came back stated port and direct fuel injection each have this merits and short comings.

LOL so those folks saying that the 2025s have "new" technology.....

It's actually older than the junk Ford saddled the 22-24s with!
