Prices in Florida are definitely not like everywhere else apparently. When I get offered $10k LESS than MSRP for a 23 Lariat hybrid with only 900 miles.

I have one, allegedly, in production right now. It's a base model hybrid with almost zero options. When I ordered it I was just thinking cheap transportation and good gas mileage. Now I'm mad I didn't order 2. I'd have no problem 100% financing this one and selling it for more than I paid if the right offer came around. It's just a car.
I'm still irritated I passed on the advice for Amazon stock 35 years ago

I signed on to Carvana, just to watch all this silliness.
Have been getting daily emails about, price drops. Not by much very much, but it is going in the right direction...
Wouldn't be so silly if you bought one for way too much and then watched the price drop 30%

I guess that would depend on that person, and that they wanted/needed it that bad to pay too much.
I paid "OVER" MSRP (and was willing to travel out-of-state), but still way "LESS" than what they are going for now ... :)

The online offers were low for me here in Southern California when I decided to sell my 2023 XL with 2600 miles on it. I had a 21k offer from Vroom, 22500 from Driveway, Could not get an offer out of Carvana and Carmax wanted me to bring it in. I was into it for 26k with tax and License and offered it for that price to family and friends but no one wanted it. Finally I stuck it on Craigslist for 29k and had an offer for 28k within one hour and a bunch of inquires. I thought the guy was a retail buyer and I did feel a little guilty about making 2k. Then he showed up with a paint thickness gauge and I realize he was just another dealer. I did sell him the car at the agreed price.

I'm thinking the same people that whine about someone selling a vehicle for a profit also complain about losing an eBay auction to a last-minute snipe bid. I've heard that argument several times: The only way you can win is to cheat and bid at the last second. No, my last second bid was higher than your max bid and you lost. If you're going to sell your Maverick, I wish you the best in getting the maximum price your can.

Any given object is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for them. Look at what's going on with real estate. Interest rates are through the roof yet here in the northeast, already inflated prices are still being bid up to well over asking. Inventory drives pricing no matter the product.

Just got my Carvana offer. They offered $36,000 which is still a lot better than Vroom, but my sticker is $36,200.

what ever you scalpers need to tell yourself..
We live in a Capitalist System, and if I can take advantage of it and get my sliver of the pie, I'll do it, it's not illegal, there will always be someone willing to pay the price.

Scalpers, every last one of them. How dare they participate in the economic system that has brought financial prosperity to more people than all other systems combined.

Don't have a build date yet but IF I get my '23 and IF they offer an AWD hybrid for '24, I'll either trade in or sell the '23.

FWIW a dealer in central PA texted me Friday evening they had three Mavericks on their lot that customers chose not to take delivery. Two XLT EB AWD and a Lariat hybrid. Both EBs $5k over msrp and hybrid $10K over.

One EB interested me and I countered with msrp, finance half purchase thru Ford credit and add an esp.

Dealer declined my counter BUT still texting, they reduced markup on hybrid to $5k.

I’m posting because I believe this is the beginning of more “lot car” Mavericks becoming available because of individuals that made multiple orders to get one and/or wanting one but unable to finance due to current state of economy.

This will also affect resale value for individuals flipping their trucks.

This is a good thing for those waiting for scheduling and/or ordered from a small dealer with more orders than allocations.
