Recommend to purchase directly through www.uplusbatteries.com and try to use "Code 10UPLUS5CJ0EVH8" to see if you possibly get the 10% off the battery. Their original price was $139.99 minus $13.99 discount = cost of #126.00 with FREE shipping. Plus they offer very fast shipping and probably since buying it directly through the battery company website we hope for great warranty if needed. Good Luck BUT THIS NEW BATTERY IMMEDIATELY GOT RID OF THE DRASTIC BATTERY SLEEP MODE ISSUES!

I cannot help but to reiterate that the burden of replacing the OEM with an AGM should be on the dealership, meaning Ford. It's so obvious they have an issue with a significant number of the flooded batteries that they admit as much. But it can be much more complicated than that. It's a longggg story but I did get my dealer to finally install a FoMoCo AGM but it did nothing to fix the problem. Fast forward, even the Ford engineers have no idea what the real source of the issue is. The latest is they suspect it may have something to do with the IPC (instrument panel cluster) to which almost everything ties into. This would presumably entail another special software update. I won't be sticking around for that, I'll be too old to drive by then.

Plenty James, plenty of time. But that new update they are just now thinking about still won't be ready even after you become a nonagenarian.

I am not comfortable with the term nonagenarian as it is too close sounding like I will cease to age!!😳

Okay, bad analogy. Let's just forget the whole aging thing. It's quality over quantity anyway. I was in critical care for over 30 years so I know a few things about that. So let's just say my patience has run out and I'm not playing this game anymore. They admit there is a malfunction but a timeline for a resolution is not even in the conversation. I've already filed for a mediation in my state under the lemon law. We shall see in the coming weeks what they're willing to offer, meaning Ford. Best of luck to you and happy trails in your Maverick.

This. I wasn't going to be hassled with dealing with a dealership, being without my truck, getting rides, etc. I bit the $130 bullet and it has been bliss ever since.
And as some have reported doing - they got that last warranty replacement, swapped it out and sold it.

My local Walmart, which I would check from time to time, now has in stock the EverStart Platinum H4 AGM size. 80 RC, 50 AH, 570 CCA.
$180.
Makes for easy warranty replacement if needed. Now, not sure I want their free install option.
Can't tell if there is a core credit that actually makes that price.

That brand for several sizes that Consumer Reports tested always came out near the top.
Or for me, as I went down the list for prices - it was the top pick!

So I have no idea for this size AGM if good stress test results and reliability.
But considering some of the other car specific places with same size are not currently always in stock (that may change), this is option I'm keeping in mind just in case.

I just finished replacing the 12v battery with the one you recommended.

I got tired of the infamous, "Remote features disabled to ..." message popping up on my cell phone every single day.

I will post updates if it resolved my issues or if the gremlins continue.

But anyways, thanks for the link to the battery. It is reasonably priced compared to everywhere else.

If they do not issue core credits local scrap yards purchase by lb. I just checked and found some last Friday we're paying $0.18/lb. (Up 18.5% from prior offer)

The size, H4, is the correct size for your Maverick. Price is about what others are charging. Battery manufacturers will make identical batteries, but will contract out to different retailers, so your Walmart battery is probably no different than a number of other 'brands'.

May be no different - until someone tears a couple down to compare.

But my point - local - a whole lot easier to deal with a warranty replacement.

What's the process if the Amazon battery goes dead in 11 months?
I know what it is at Walmart.

My point about the core - many times a price you see includes the core return.
Add $25, or $45 or whatever to the displayed price, unless you bring a core back.

My concern wasn't getting rid of a core.
If attempting the process to keep the last warranty replacement to sell, to then buy this one - there would be no core.

What's a used battery sell for? Never attempted one. Better than the core return?
